Advertising Flats
 

I've already confessed that I spend way too much time on eBay searching for foreign singles and bonus discs. Awhile back, I also got interested in the advertising flats that I came across. They are the 12 x 12 posters which look like the album/CD covers. I bought a couple, decided I liked them and am still trying to complete my BJ collection. I have no idea what I'm going to do with them, but I'm not letting that little detail stop me. LOL I know the first couple are going to be tough to find, but I'm amazed that I actually have 2 for Slippery When Wet that I'm very sure are authentic. (On the other hand, I'm very sure that the New Jersey one I got is a reprint even though it wasn't advertised as such. Grr.) I have a question for the group, though. Do you remember seeing these flats for HAND? I've seen all sorts of promotional items for HAND, but I have yet to see a flat for it on eBay.

BTW, in order to get one of the SWW flats, I bought a lot of about 30-40. I have no interest in becoming a seller on eBay (that would cut into my browsing time), so I'm posting the list in the NBJ forum. If any of them are of interest to you, let me know via PM. Most of these flats must have been used in a store somewhere, so they are not in perfect condition. I'll be happy to take photos of any that are of interest so you can see what you're getting into.

It's threads like these that make me fear what will happen when I get a credit card......

(Of course, it took me a minute to figure out what you meant. We don't call them "flats" here. At least I didn't have to refer to my British slang dictionary.)

Seriously, though, someone must remember the advertising for HAND. The smirk would have been perfect on a flat, but I haven't seen a one on eBay. I'd have guessed that they stopped doing them, except that I found the Lost Highway one.
