Back of Ricoh Arena
So, when the tickets were first up for sale I bought some tickets for Coventry and the only tickets damn Ticketmaster would let me have were some at the very back. Yeah, that's what I get for ordering tickets the first minute they are set loose to the public.
I've never been at the back at a gig before so I'm just wondering, will I actually see anything?! Will I even see the screen? Plus, last year at Coventry the sound wasn't the greatest. So yeah, I'm not excited for this gig :( I know I'll still get the atmosphere and stuff but still, at this time of them playing rare songs it's gonna suck being at the back <_< So yeah, what is it like being at the back? |
Aww. That is a shame. But like you say - the atmosphere is still gonna be there. It may be a lot better than what you think. I've neverrr been to this venue...so I have no clue.
I'm even a bit worried about GA. I want to be able to be close. What if I can't see well? I want to be in GC, so bad it's not even funny. :( BUT...I shouldn't complain. At least we're going at all. |
I was gonna go into GC with my mate but he let me down <_< Otherwise I would have been going to the same show as you as well.
And the atmosphere will suck if I can't see Richie :( Um..I mean..the band. |
There is no atmosphere at the back, I was in the stands in 2003 at Glasgow and there was no atmosphere at all... You up with the "casual" fans who only know Prayer, Bad Name, Wanted etc
|
So they could be singing my favourite songs and I'd be the only one excited :O
DAMN YOU TICKETMASTER. |
Yep, if they came out with Dry County, Stick To Your Guns etc.. the majority would have a blank expression on there faces.
|
They're gonna think I'm crazy! Getting all excited over 'unheard' songs.
|
At Southampton this year, I must admit the people at the back of the stands were not even standing up and you can see the level of excitement going down from hysteria at the front, to "why am I here" at the back.
HOWEVER, whilst you may not see the band in person, you can still see the screens clearly and I think you get a very different perspective on the entire lighting etc from the back. You also get the benefit of watching the whole audience reacting to the band which I also think adds something. It's not all bad. Just enjoy it for what it is, from where you are, and don't beat yourself up all night thinking "if only I was at the front...." |
But beating myself up is what I do best!
But I guess you have a good point Slow Joe. |
