Can anybody tell me if Santa Fe has ever been performed live?

Yes. At some Question and Answer session with fans Jon played it on an acoustic after a fan told Jon her story about how the song kept her faith while she was getting cancer treatments. Jon tried to play the song but failed, and admitted that he couldn't remember anything of the song. It was still cool that he tried though, and he sounded really honest and touched by the story.

Its never been played fully as part of a proper show whilst on tour I should say then. And it certainley doesn't have the faintest chance of appearing on this tour.

Oooh Seb just has got a little too much to do at the moment. School, more school and even more schoolwork and then there's going to concerts, trying to get Jade to blow me and shitloads of MSN conversations on how well Bon Jovi is playing right now. :)

Actually (having just checked) it was Miracle that was poorly attempted and mostly forgotten by Jon. The show was the New Orleans House of Blues 1997-07-31.

Santa Fe is (in my opinion) one of the best vocal songs that Jon has done. It's a shame it was never played live.

Ah good, it was Miracle. I already thought it was either one of those 2, was pretty certain it wasn't Bang A Drum. :)

Santa Fe is indeed Jon's best vocal performance. I don't think he'd ever been capable of doing that one live though.

Santa Fe is one of my favourite songs ever. I loved it when I was little and my sister always played it, and only rediscovered it a few years ago. Absolutely amazing.

So, ever thought about not mentioning it in so many threads? That way, the subject wouldn't keep being brought up, or carried on when it had already stopped. If you had said nothing, and ignored it...we wouldn't have to still be talking about it. We could be talking about Santa Fe. Interesting concept, isn't it?

Well, technically, you started it on this thread because you said to Seb "But are you getting very far" so then he would off said something back to that, and then you would say something to that etc...

I did a bunch of searching this afternoon while looking for this track. I NEVER found any Bang a Drum track (live) anywhere :(

I am against Bon Jovi playing Jon/Richie solo songs in their live shows, but if they have to do it, this should be it. This is THE FINEST Jon/Richie solo song ever.

I'm sure Jon attempted to Bang a Drum for someone. I think it was acoustically aswell. He almost had to hum the song.

Must have been 97ish if it wasn't the same show as miracle.
