Taking Pics at the show...........
 

Will it be ok to take pics with my digi compact camera at Manchester on Sunday................we will be sat around half way down in the stand, so its obvious we wont get any quality pics for any publishing thing :-?, so do you regulars think we will get away with it without getting a security bloke getting annoyed. Or is it a common thing to take pics at gigs, I never really thought to take it before. :confused:

You will be fine :-) I'm taking my camera, a canon S3 and it has quite a big lens but they are normally fine about them.

They let me onstage with mine last time and jon even posed for me.

yeah took mine onstage last time and i actually videoed a bunch of stuff, so i reckon you will be fine :)

Here in the U.S., as long as the lens wasn't detachable, you were fine. (The others were deemed "professional," I guess.) Clearly the band isn't bothered by people taking photos since Backstage is running a photo contest in conjunction with this tour.

I suppose I won't have problems with my Cannon D400?

Any compact camera should be fine, its the SLR cameras (the ones with interchangable lenses) they usually worry about.
