Jon's voice or technical help?
I am loving this tour, I now want to go to both the Twickers dates incase of missing something from night 1.
Will have to see. One thing I still don't get is how Jon is able to sing these songs we never thought would surface again. Looking at TAALS or Always, how can he sing these tracks now but could not even attempt them on previous tours? I know that a lot of pop acts use technology to enhance the sound of the vocal, helping them hit the right notes and changing the sound of the voice etc. Does anyone think this is possible on this tour? I am giving full credit to the band and Jon's vocals because if there is no help then his vocals sound amazing on this leg of the tour. What do you think? This is the first time in a long time I wish I was able to go to more dates and am genuinely envious of some of the people who have been lucky enough to hear some songs that I thought were burried. The band seem to be really enjoying this tour, more so than some of the previous tours I have seen. I have said this before, if you have not got a ticket for this tour and are thinking about it, don't think any longer, buy the ticket and go. |
i genuinly dont belive jon would do that, he's dead against lip syncing, and that genereal area, and he has had off nights occasianly. I think jon just has a hunger for singing again and wants to try these songs, oh and the film crew may have helped:P.

Aloha !
I don't have a ****ing clue of how he's all of a sudden capable of doing so as it was so painfully obvious that there's no way he could hit the notes on the Bounce and Have A Nice Day Tour. No way he could've done Always 2 years ago. He already struggled with songs like Raise Your Hands on those tours and the Bounce Tour was a disaster vocal-wise. I don't get it, but he's not getting any help from Pro Tools or something like that. Salaam Aleikum, Sebastiaan |
Listening to Undivided from the 19/06 he hits some notes on that the are higher than on the CD I think?
As you say 2002-2006 was a struggle vocally but so was Japan this year. I hope whatever he is doing he continues to do it. BTW, nice truck Seb, I'm guessing it's pink on the inside? |
I really thought Jon's voice was GREAT on the HAND tour, the shows I was at, he was nailing a lot of it but thist our blew it away. To me, his voice has gotten gradually better each tour since '02, but that's just my opinion. A lot of us were saying here how good his voice was around the time of the last tour.

As someone has said in the past, Jon might off got something removed from his throat and its cleared something and has just let him hit the notes so well.
Or them cigarettes he said the other day, maybe them! |
Coffee break
Four surgeons were taking a coffee break and discussing their work. The first one said, "I think accountants are the easiest to operate on. Everything inside them is numbered.""I think librarians are the easiest," said the second. "When you open them up, all their organs are arranged alphabetically."The third surgeon said, "I prefer to operate on electricians. Their organs are color-coded."..World Of Warcraft gold is WoW gold."You're all wrong," said, the fourth. "Lawyers are easiest. They're heartless, spineless, gutless, and their heads and asses are interchangeable."

I don't know what he did, I don't even know if he did something, but..........
These Days - 2003 Always - 2008 Well, I really don't know. I'm listening and seing but it's still hard to believe... |
Woa those two TD clips really show it.

I still say it's the fact that he started training with a vocal coach again for this tour. I think he always had it but yet lacked the confidence.
