Don't you hate it when this happens???
Am I the only one whose camera decides to play silly buggers at that crucial moment?
It happened again last night...I was all set during Bad Medicine. Jon walks over (I'm well chuffed as I have a clear shot)..I press the button...and....nothing!!!! When I did get it working I ended up with 5 seconds of video of him walking back to the stage!! I think some confetti must have got into the camera during 'Captain Crash' and messed it up...but that's another story :p |

LOL Poor Capt. Crash -- here at JT, we blame him for EVERYTHING! LOL I know EXACTLY what you mean, though. I tried to get a picture of Richie flipping the bird during HAND at show after show. Kept just barely missing it and was just sure I missed it the last Atlanta show, too. I started reviewing my photos as we were waiting for the train, though, and THERE IT WAS! I was stunned. Usually its the other way around -- I think I got a shot . . . only to find that I don't. Sorry you missed that shot. (You didn't hear this from me, but there are some on this board that might actually like that footage of Jon walking away from you, if you catch my drift. LOL Jade, are you reading this? LOL) |
Well I think we got that beat. :D
Charged up the camera batteries for Twickers 1 (plus a spare pair in case we needed em!), packed it safely in the backpack, rolled on into the stadium only to find after we were sitting in the pit that somebody had taken the memory card out and the camera was useless! No pics whatsoever! :( |
My mum's camera decided to not work. Nice. :)
:( Next time, I'll be so close and I'll video songs. And it will make up for it. |

Seriously, I think it would be good if someone on here posted a tutorial on how to take decent photos at gigs..what setting to use etc. My flash kept going off and the images were too dark..turned it off..too blurry. I put the thing away in the end as I think you can get carried away with taking snaps and not enjoying the music. |

Say what you will about Backstagers, but they have concert photography down to an art form. Most of the pro shots I've seen haven't been anywhere near as good as what I've seen on Backstage. And the pros get better access and can bring in monster cameras. Here are a few of my better shots from the Lost Highway. Greensboro (Hallelujah, obviously): http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...nsboro/620.jpg Atlanta night 1 (Just Older, I think): http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...ta%201/022.jpg Atlanta night 2: http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...ta%202/019.jpg Atlanta night 2: http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...ta%202/045.jpg Atlanta night 2 (tough guitar to photograph -- so much sparkle!): http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...ta%202/097.jpg Atlanta night 2 (HAND, obviously -- still a little fuzzy, but probably the best I'll ever get of the moment): http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...ta%202/151.jpg Atlanta night 2: http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...ta%202/167.jpg Atlanta night 2 (another hard one to get even though they do it every night -- I missed it the night before when I was in the center section and it would have been really good): http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...ta%202/225.jpg |
Great advice and even better pics...I want those shades that Richie wears. And that jacket from last night was very cool as well!
