did jon quit smoking ?

did you notice how incridibly WELL he's singing again ? almost.. almost as if we were in 95 again. his singing was a bit lousy from like.. 2003 to early 2007. did he take any lessons, quit smoking or something else ? perhaps he's just drinking plenty of water ? lol any guesses ?

Okay, I'll guess. Maybe since Ritchie has been on the wagon, Jon is partying less and getting more sleep on the road. After all, his drinking buddy has gone dry. That can't just affect Ritchie and no one else, right?

Posting under the auspices of my own sense of politeness (nobody say ANYTHING :p), I'll ignore that.

This has been discussed a million times before, have a browse, or a search.

He was still smoking a couple of months ago. It's mentioned in the Q Magazine interview.

Vocal trainer was a good idea. Still hope against hope he quits soon after this tour though. Might mess him up short term but if he wants to keep rocking it's worth considering. Just because you're accustomed to smoking, doesn't mean continuing will make you a better singer long term. Not to mention smoking kills. :(

Kenobi has the best bet, he took vocal lessons IMO

I looked it up and it said that he started smoking in 1994 on a movie set because he was bored (STUPIDO). They showed him smoking on destination on the inside cover. He must've thought it looked cool. I doubt he stopped.

Thanks but it wasn't me who said it to begin with.

That movie would be Moonlight & Valentino but I'm sure he smoked prior to that and has kept going because he "likes it".

That's very odd to start smoking at the age of 32. I read some statistics some years ago that it was unusual to start smoking after the age of 20.

Then again, wasn't he smoking cannabis/marijuana at a very young age?
