Bon Jovi prepares for Central Park show

Bon Jovi will treat its fans to a free concert in New York's Central Park on July 12. The show is being presented in conjunction with Major League Baseball, and will be part of the festivities leading up to the July 15 All-Star game at Yankee Stadium.

More details will be announced at a press conference that New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg will host at 4 p.m. at City Hall.

The Jersey-based rock band kicked off its current tour with 10 shows at the Prudential Center in Newark, last year, and will end it with concerts at Madison Square Garden, July 14-15.

I want tickets damnit ........

Ok to all the fans - bring your camcorders and stuff. Kathleen do a kick ass audio recording of this and we have a great dvd :).

If I have to have baseball connections to get tickets I'm screwed. I hope to get there somehow though.

With the New York City cops guarding the fence - no way. They shoot people if they "think" their cellphone is a gun.

My law firm has an office in NYC. So help me, SOMEONE there better have connections. If not, what good are they?! :p

Agreed - but that's one reason I hang out here Deb. When I tell people here in Jersey that I go to Bon Jovi concerts they laugh at me.
