Bootleg question!
hi!
does anybody of you know the bootleg 'bon jovi- live in yokohama 1996, May 19th'? it has a really great quality, so it is almost soundboard, isn't it? who records such bootlegs, because this show has never been recorded by the record company for live tracks on a single for example? how do people get their hands on these recordings if it is not an audience recording with lots of crowd noise? |
I could imagine that these are recordings that originally were made for the radio and someone from the radio station is selling them. Or someone on the soundboard records it illegally and sells these recordings.
|
That show was broadcast in it's entireity on Japanese TV which is where to bootleg was recorded from.
|
If you were paying any attention, Something To Believe In From One Wild Night - Live is taken from that Yokohama show.
It's a great show, I've played the hell out of it. I like how Bad Medicine is the 2nd song in the set and abbreviated..as if they are getting it out of the way. |
I used to have that one, but when they broke into my car last week they stole it! And it's really one of the best!
|
Somehow, someway, some of the soundboard recordings do get out. I don't ask questions. I just smile and say thank you.

now, bootlegs have great sound because sound crew records the show, and sells it. look at the mix table, you'll always see a DAT rolling the tape!
|
yeah
every show that is done is recorded for reference purposes etc |
