another tour wraps up
doesn't it make you feel slightly bitter about it ? lol
|
Bitter....no. Sort of sad.....yes.
I saw some damn fine shows on this tour - and some not so good shows too. But I usually enjoy something about a show even if it is not their best. |
I'm only disappointed that they play so fews in the Southeast and even fewer on Saturdays. I saw five shows for the Lost Highway era and every one of them was great. I think that in some ways I'm lucky that I don't get to see them twenty times a tour because I don't become bored with them. Whatever Jon is doing to keep his voice in shape is working splendidly because he sounds amazing. I got to see shows with my two best friends (something I had not done in five years) and got to meet up with other friends and maybe make a few more along the way. So... no. There's no bitterness here, unless it's that I saw All American Rejects opening in Newark instead of Big & Rich, a band I whose music I actually know and, for the most part, like. Four shows with AAR... and only one with Daughtry. That's my biggest complaint.

I'm with you on this part for sure. I traveled to Atlanta to see the May 1 show, and it was my only chance through the whole tour to see them. (I almost didn't get to do that either!) That was a Thursday night and I had to work the next day. I don't have freedom of selecting which days I want to be off, so I really did *Have to* work the next day. Atlanta is a 3 hour drive for me. I was hoping they would do Charlotte NC (as they almost always do) or even Greenville SC (which they did during HAND). That didn't work out. Then, I thought maybe I could travel to NYC for the MSG shows -- but again, that was 2 weeks earlier in the year than it has been the past 3 tours, so I couldn't go. But it's not all about me -- Sadly -- Jon and company do not ask for my input far as tour stops, dates, song choices, etc.. (and I WOULD give them good advice, too!) ;) I am with you 100% on wishing more southeast shows were in the lineup and especially on Saturdays. But hey, I did finally get it worked out to head to Atlanta on that Thursday night. I'm so happy for you that you were able to catch them a few times this tour. I'm also happy for those who got to see them in Amsterdam, Hamburg, Munich (wow! Those were great shows!) Mel . |
Yesssss I am ****ing bitter that they didn't play my awesome set last night! haha
On the whole though, it's been a great journey this past year... I got to see my first show, learn more about the band, nurture a Youtube addiction, and "meet" all of you.:) So here's to the next one.8) |

TheseDays - what exactly are you bitter about? |
I am disappointed that the tour schedule didn't match mine so I couldn't go and experience the holiness that is BOBITA.
|
Bitter?
No. I wish they were playing more gigs as hot as they are now, but hopefully WHENEVER they come back, they're as good as they were the last three shows. |

kind of sad it's over, only went to one gig but it amazing, best ever i have been to and got to hear always, blaze, last cigarette (which i actually like) diamond ring, blood on blood and DC, but coming on here and seeing the other gigs unfold through pbp's and seeing other reviews makes the whole tour time exciting
think it will be a while before the next tour now tho :( |
