Why don't you just call it soccer? you guys have two names for your sport, we have one. We stay at football, you stay at soccer... because i get confused too often.
|
Err, we have one name for the sport and, at the risk of opening the same old can of worms but I'll say it anyway, it's also the correct one.
It's football. Always has been, always will be. |

I absolutely hate having to repeat myself in various threads when this comes up but if you (or America) came up with an original name for a sport invented after 'football', there wouldn't be any confusion. Why should we all accept the americanism that is 'soccer'? It makes no sense. This is going well off topic though so I'm not gonna rant any more about it. Accept the differences and move on. :) |

The minute it changes to American football being in the majority then maybe we can talk....but until then, how about we call your football: rugby....with pads ;) So anyway, everyone else - back on topic. i hear Rafa has turned down a new contract? Is he holding out for a better offer you think? or wanting to move on? |
"But I'll tell you something...he went down in my estimation when he said that...we have not resorted to that...and ya can tell him now if he's watchin'...we're still fightin' for this title...They're gonna come to Anfield and get something...and I'll tell ya...honestly...I would love it if we beat them. Love it!"

Anyway, yeah, bit gutted Rafa rejected contracted but i'm still hopeful he will sign if the right terms are offered to him. |
Ah cmon. Hehe. Ask Paul...I've always been bitter. Us blues are! It's just a bit of fun because WE don't get any success! LOL.
