Good luck Luis! :)

And JerseyboyUK, unlucky. You were beaten by a side who have obviously got a bit of confidence from Hiddink, so they were obviously up for it and Villa played some good stuff.

Man U won :(

Ronaldo should of been sent off. Terrible!

SPORTING WON! We defeat Benfica 3-2. The score is too low though.
SPORTING could EASILY had scored 5/6 goals. Best game of the season. We humiliated benfica completely!

Whilst I agree to an extent, you would be surprised how many incidents as petty as that little 'flick' go unnoticed in a game. It would have been harsh - from a United perspective at any rate. ;)

There was also no way that Rafael's contact with Pederson was enough to send him tumbling the way he did and yet he didn't get booked for trying to con the ref so again, if there's no consistency, it would have been harsh for Ronaldo to have been sent off as a result of his dive, albeit a blatant one.

I just wish play-acting would go away for good. You could argue it's gotten a lot worse over the years but the gradual improvements in multi-angle replay technology may only be making it seem that way. I don't know, either way it's cheating and, until they sanction the use of replays to allow for punishments to be handed out by the ref at the time, I can't see it getting any better.

It was 100% a penalty. Why would he go down when he was clean through on goal? Yet another case of a club not getting a decision at Old Trafford.

You're telling me that after watching the up close replay, that Rafael's two hands placed on Pedersen's shoulder for all of a second was enough to make his legs go from under him and collapse like a pansy? Football isn't a non-contact sport and you could see that there was no effort in the challenge to bring the guy down. Pedersen just fell over and whether it was against United, Liverpool, Chelsea, whoever, I'd still be saying the same thing. It was play-acting and he should have been booked.

And talking of decisions going against any team playing at OT, what happened with Jonny Evans' disallowed, yet perfectly legitimate, goal?

Oh no, the dive was a yellow... It was when he kicked one of Blackburns players on purpose. Eboue got sent off for it the other day, so why shouldn't Ronaldo?
