Yeh, was really inocuous...was turning to challenge, got his studs caught and opened up his joint.

Oh that's a horrible one. What about Anichebe? Any news from his scan?

No word yet although early signs were that it's just badly bruised. I would imagine he's be out for a couple of weeks and that's about it.

Hopefully it will be just a bruise. Nolan could have broke his leg. :(

Yeah, it was a disgraceful challenge.

I think he will be out for 2 weeks and that's about it.

Porto - Sporting is the next Sporting game in the league. It's goin' to be dificult! Benfica, Bayern and Porto in the same week is awesome!

severo17 02-24-2009 09:27 PM

KeepTheFaith2211 02-24-2009 10:30 PM

Arsenal 1-0 Roma. :)

severo17 02-24-2009 10:49 PM

Atletico Madrid 2-1 Porto

It's gonna start 2nd half.
Porto could easily be winning :(

I thought you hated Porto? I thought they were one of your rivals?

JerseyboyUK 02-24-2009 11:22 PM

My god, the Inter v Man Utd game is so ****ing boring.

Might switch and watch one of the others instead.

Agreed. Not been exactly 'thrilling' so far.

KeepTheFaith2211 02-24-2009 11:37 PM

I knew Inter - Man United would end up goalless. :p

Yes they are! But it's a portuguese team, and if Sporting goes through this phase I want to have two portuguese teams in the next phase :D

The club that I really hate is benfica. They could lose all the games like 5-0 :D

2-2 was Porto's result by the way :p

Great result, Porto could had won, and showed that is better than Atletico. In Portugal Porto wins almost surely.

Let's see Sporting's result tomorow now...

Ah, you see, I'm the opposite. If my team aren't in it, I want nobody to win it!

KeepTheFaith2211 02-25-2009 12:32 AM

Well I just think that it's been so long that Newcastle haven't won a trophy, the longer other clubs go without one the better. :p

It makes us look even worse when Spurs are winning the Carling Cup and stuf.

Anyone watching the FA Cup tie between Boro and West Ham?

JerseyboyUK 02-26-2009 04:35 PM

CSKA Moscow v Aston Villa tonight in UEFA Cup. Currently 1-1 so we HAVE to score if we wanna go through.
Ain't gonna happen though. Brad Friedal, Carlos Cuellar, Gareth Barry, Stiliyan Petrov, James Milner, Ashley Young, Emile Heskey, and Gabby Agbonlahor have all been left out of the squad :(

We'll have virtually the same back four as the first leg, but a MUCH weakend midfield and subs-bench. Add to that a plastic pitch, and sub-zero temperatures and i reckon it'll finish 2-0 to CSKA (3-1 agg.) :(

EDIT: no Carew now either, back injury!!

liljovi93 02-28-2009 02:00 PM

Liverpool - Middlesbrough today.

We have to beat these. Can't drop points. Gerrard will probably come on around the 60th min and Torres is out... again :(

And you :D

The Reds XI in full is: Reina, Aurelio, Hyypia, Skrtel, Carragher, Alonso, Gerrard, Babel, Mascherano, El Zhar, Kuyt. Subs: Cavalieri, Dossena, Riera, Benayoun, Lucas, Ngog, Darby.

Good to see a few of the young ones on the bench and even El Zhar starting.

Gerrard back :D Hope he scores.

liljovi93 02-28-2009 06:58 PM

Absolute joke!!

Played awful. Might aswell hand the trophy over to Man U.

RS8MB0R8 02-28-2009 07:48 PM

And we shall graciously accept!

... although, you wouldn't really be handing us the trophy - we'd just be keeping it. Ooooooo, low blow! :D

KeepTheFaith2211 02-28-2009 07:51 PM

Well let's face it, it was always gonna be Man United's title, wasn't it?

I disagree. How many points were you ahead at that point?

Can't even remember.

It was 5 wasn't it? I really can't remember.

Either way, it wasn't Man Utd's from the start, we had our chance and we blew it.
