1-1 draw tonight i think.

KeepTheFaith2211 01-28-2009 07:21 PM

Given's on his way to Man City by the looks of things

Newcastle are on their way to the Championship.

Yep. I think Given could go to a better team than City. City have the money but they're just not good enough yet.

liljovi93 01-28-2009 09:15 PM

Keane dropped again. On the bench this time but i think he should be starting. Lucas and Benayoun starting :( Terrible.

What's the game today?

You got it right!

Great results (re: the arsenal and liverpool games) from our point of view!:D
Even though Liverpool have dropped way too many points recently i still reckon they're genuine title contenders. Man U, Chelsea and Liverpool will still be battling it out right till the end, it's so tight up there!

UKjovi 01-29-2009 12:52 PM

Shame we didn't beat Everton

Gutted, we fully deserved the victory but for a lapse in concentration at the death when we should have just run the ball into the corner.

You guys really are missing Fabregas; there was no spark in midfield at all. Props to your big group of travelling away fans who kept singing all night in the freezing cold and added to the already great atmosphere.

UKjovi 01-29-2009 05:39 PM

Yeah i'll be glad when hes back but van persie is the man

liljovi93 01-29-2009 08:58 PM

Another game we drew and we should of won. I seriously don't know why Rafa plays Lucas and Benayoun. Ok, Benayoun scored, but he beats a man and then tries to do too much and in the end he loses possesion. Lucas, don't even get me started with him. He does better the other team than he does for Liverpool. He can't be Brazilian, surely!

Babel is another. So lazy and he still thinks he deserves a place in the squad. He's been a big dissapointment. Rafa needs to play Keane, he really does. He might not score a lot but he does bring something to the game and it's obvious he wants to play. I still don't know why Rafa took Gerrard and Torres off. Stupid decisions.

Get it sorted Rafa!

Agreed. Whatever club Keane has been at he has always needed a run of games before he finally finds his shooting boots, he's just not getting that run at Liverpool.

Exactly. In the paper the other week, they shown some stats from September to December at every club Keane has been to and his goalscoring record is awful, and then after Christmas, he starts to score a lot more and his record isn't bad at all. Keane needed Torres back aswell so he can go into his best role and since Torres is back, Keane hasn't started any games.

4. Arsenal

Relegation:

18. Middlesbrough

It's weird how 2 weeks ago, we were title contenders. Now people think we wont even make the top 2.

It just seems that they've lost that winning mentality and killer instinct in front of goal. 4 draws on the trot and knowing how Liverpool have always started seasons strongly and then faded away in the past, it's easy to understand why they are fast becoming 3rd or 4th place contenders in most people's eyes. You have to go with the form book at the moment and that doesn't bode well for Liverpool.

Yeah, i know. I wasn't having a go at anyone or anything, was just saying how things change so quickly.

It's great isn't! I love how close things are at both ends of the table, it'll go right to the last game of the season i reckon (re: title winners and relegation)

Yeah, i do think it's good myself. Of course, i'd sooner be in Man United's position, but still. It's making a good season.

liljovi93 01-31-2009 01:43 PM

Everton 11/1 on to beat Man Utd today. I think that's worth putting a bet on.

As much as I'd like to believe that, I reckon a draw is the best we can hope for, what with Cahill and Fellaini potentially out.

Yep. Stoke was a big shock. Gutted Everton lost, needed them to win but unfortunately, they never!

severo17 01-31-2009 11:18 PM

WHY SPORTING WHY!!!! I can't believe we draw 0-0 today with Trofense! OMG :(:(

It's how i feel lately with Liverpool. Drawing against Stoke and Wigan is terrible.

A draw with Stoke and Wigan is the height of my ambition as a Newcastle fan ;)

Hahaha, in all honesty, i don't know how Newcastle aren't higher in the prem. They have some great players.. Martins, Owen, Given, Taylor etc... Some really good players and they still can't do well.

Yeah I see your point, but the talent of the likes of Martins and Owen can't make up for the lack of talent in other areas.

For example, Duff, Geremi, Viduka, Ameobi, Enrique etc. aren't good at all. :p

JerseyboyUK 02-01-2009 01:16 AM

Gutted we didn't beat Wigan today! Although was glad to see big John Carew back though, and equally pleased to see MO'N willing to play Heskey, Agbonlahor, and Carew all at the same time, positive tactics!

Gutted we missed out on the chance to go 2nd, but the fact that we are still up there causing a stir at the end of January, with a squad that is very much a work in progress, is GREAT :D

I disagree tbh. Duff i've always thought is a good player. Same with Viduka and i don't know why he isn't doing it at Newcastle. Geremi is ok, bit crap like but ok. Ameobi is awful and Enrique i haven't saw enough off.

liljovi93 02-01-2009 02:11 PM

Keane not even in the squad today. What is Rafa doing? Keane's going to go this week, definitely.

Everton in talks with City over a loan move for Jo.

liljovi93 02-01-2009 09:45 PM

Great result. Lampard shouldn't of got sent off but Bosingwa defo should off. How he never even got a yellow for that, i will never know. Linesman was right by it and ref was just behind him. Mike Riley is the worst ref ever. Either way, made up with the result and happy with being second in the league.

KeepTheFaith2211 02-02-2009 07:25 PM

I watched Liverpool v Cheslsea with a Liverpool fan, his reaction to Torres' goal was class:p

Newcastle v Sunderland - A draw was a fair result but the penalty was soft. Damien Duff is a cheat.

JerseyboyUK 02-02-2009 07:32 PM

i had a tenner on a Liverpool 1-0 win, damn you Tores for scoring in injury time!!
