Can't believe Keane has gone :(

Rafa should of kept him until at least the summer. I know he has giving him a few chances, but no way should he be left out of the squad against big teams.

This transfer window has been poor... it's already finished! :(

It's been alright. Couple of good moves. I prefer it finishing in the night though.

We just need to finish them off. They treated the draws as if they had won.

liljovi93 02-04-2009 09:32 AM

Hopefully Rafa picks a good squad and not Lucas in the team.

Jo is cup-tied for Everton.

Just tried mate, they aren't on General Sale - only applicants with 1+ tickets stubs are eligable :(

severo17 02-04-2009 05:35 PM

Today is the game. I'm so nervoussss! GO SPORTING!

What a pain that is mate. Haven't you been to a home game this season? You don't need physical stubs, they just track your attendance under your customer number.

I bet they put them on general sale at the box office later on to flog the rest.

liljovi93 02-04-2009 07:38 PM

I want to go to the derby tonight :(

WE WON! WE WON! WE WON! WE WON! WE WON! WE WON!

SPORTING 4 - 1 Porto

:D:D:D:D

liljovi93 02-04-2009 11:03 PM

0-0 at half time for the Merseyside Derby.

I think there will be a sending off. Everton players just seem to keep attacking our players. Cahill should of been sent off and Pienaar is like a thug.

mo_rizwan 02-05-2009 02:54 AM

Looks like the better team won

When Lucas went off they were the better team. Before that, they weren't.

Why were all the Liverpool players running to the ref? My tele kept going on and off and when Everton were on the attack, it went off. It came on when Everton were by the corner flag and then Gosling scored.

RichieW2001 02-05-2009 11:27 AM

The city is ours, the city is ourrrrrrs, **** off to Norway, the city is ours.

Best night of my life, never known an atmosphere like it. There was a ridiculous amount of chirping on the train on the way there from Kopites who were convinced that it was going to be a formality. As it turned out, most Evertonians' predictions came true and we got another good win in a midweek game at Goodison.

The loss of Gerrard was a big turning point; he has this natural ability to find space and make himself time on the ball that very few others have. Torres isn't fit, that is abundantly clear. Jagielka had him in his pocket all night and I think the persistent 'ladyboy' chants started to get to him at the end (not that I was involved in such terrible chanting ;) ).

Gosling has really come on this season and seems to pick the right option more often than not. If Pienaar's out on Saturday, I would imagine the lad would get a start. Props to Jack Rodwell too, who just sat there holding and allowed Arteta to get further forward than he had been all night. Good to see Shandy Andy with the cross for the goal aswell. Despite a less than successful few years at Goodison, the crowd have always been willing to give him a chance and I suspected he might have an impact when he came on.

Bring on Villa, should be a great game.

A friend who was at the game (evertonian) said that Liverpool were just as loud. Not saying that you said that of course, but it did sound like that on TV. Either team could of won the game last night. First half was mainly us, second half was mainly Everton. It was one of them games that wasn't brilliant but at the same time, was watchable. I think most Everton fans in my year know by now not to say something to me after a game if we lose or something because no-one said anything at all today, thankfully!

In the end, i can't say i wasn't gutted to lose, but at the same time, it gives us time to focus on the league and the champions league. People will now say we're out of them but what the hell... we aren't!

RichieW2001 02-05-2009 06:59 PM

Not a chance...6,000 Liverpool fans versus 34,000 Everton fans. There was no competition for noise. I was right next to the Shite and only heard one bloody song all night, which was drowned out every time by our '**** off to Norway' lyrics change.

As for the balance of the 3 games...the attacking was predominantly done by Liverpool, as expected. We definitely edged it in terms of chances last night and had a lot of possession in the second half without creating a huge amount.

Will be interesting to see what happens now Gerrard's crocked and Torres has to do most of the legwork by himself whilst not fully fit.

Not sure, even i heard more than one song last night.

Yeah, Gerrard out for 3 weeks. We play Portsmouth next week and then it's internationals after that so it shouldn't be too bad. We really should beat Portsmouth even with our recent form.

liljovi93 02-07-2009 04:27 PM

We play Portsmouth at 5 today. Hopefully we should beat them. Need to win badly! Mainly to save Rafas job!!!

RichieW2001 02-07-2009 05:55 PM

Absolutely hammering Bolton, playing some lovely football and can't believe it's only 1-0. Jo and Cahill are linking up really well, Arteta's playing some beautiful passes and they really can't get close to us. Not seen us play football this good since the SK Brann game last season.

2-0 now. Jo scored. Sounds like a good game, well, for Everton.

Terry missed from 2 yards before for Chelsea it sounded like.

RichieW2001 02-07-2009 07:47 PM

Has Rafa lost the plot?

RS8MB0R8 02-07-2009 08:24 PM

Woohoo! A Chelsea draw with Hull and L'pool vs Portsmouth currently nicely sitting at 0-0, it's all looking good. In fact, the only way it could possibly get better is for Portsmouth to nick a goal in the second half!

KeepTheFaith2211 02-07-2009 08:27 PM

Newcastle won! :o
