No he hasn't! Torres is not fully fit yet.. Everton game proved that. Gerrard out for 3 weeks, Kuyt has done nothing but play all season and needs a rest. Alonso was injured in extra time vs Everton, so no he hasn't!!!!!

awesome day! Up to third!
Our next few games are probably the most important of our season so far, CSKA Moscow in UEFA Cup, Everton in the FA Cup, and Chelsea at home.
If we beat Chelsea, anything is possible.

RS8MB0R8 02-07-2009 08:57 PM

It just got better!...

EDIT: B*gger! :( 1-1

EDIT (again!): Scratch that - woohoo 2-1 Pompey! :)

JerseyboyUK 02-07-2009 09:00 PM

Babel misses a sitter, then Nugent goes and scores!! Get in!

When will you guys finally realize that Soccer is completely over rated, and you need to stop. I mean, I don't understand what the big deal is about a bunch of sweaty men trying to fight over a ball, and then cry like babies when they get kicked in the shins.... oh boo hoo that hurt, I think I'm out for a couple months, and that guy should get a green card... or whatever you call it.

RS8MB0R8 02-07-2009 09:19 PM

^^ Born to Run in disguise.

Damn - 2-2!

Well go start a thread about how you don't like 'soccer' and i'm sure no-one will give a shit.

This thread is clearly for people who appreciate the game.

RS8MB0R8 02-07-2009 09:26 PM

3-2.

Well the only positve thing to take from the game from a United/Villa/Chelsea perspective is that L'pool made such hard work of it against a relegation-threatened Pompey.

And it payed off and that's all that mattered.

Made up we are top of the league. Even if Man Utd do have 2 games in hand :)

JerseyboyUK 02-07-2009 10:23 PM

But Man Utd are sure to drop a couple of points sometime, surely!

severo17 02-07-2009 10:38 PM

They shouldn't just yet. He actually looked like a real manager on Saturday :)

I'd give him another 2 games and in one of them he has to win, at least.

RS8MB0R8 02-09-2009 06:59 PM

SCOLARI SACKED!

Wow! I can't say I'm surprised it's happened but I didn't expect them to do it yet!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...ea/7879638.stm

severo17 02-09-2009 07:06 PM

Yeah. Looks like Scolari was fired. Hope he comes back to the Portuguese team :)

Yeah, i'm suprised. I knew it was coming but not this soon.

JerseyboyUK 02-09-2009 07:17 PM

Chelsea's next Premier League is away to Aston Villa. I was expecting them to go there, get beat by us convincingly 2-0, then they'd sack him.
The same happened with Mourinho, they came to Villa, they lost, he gets the sack!

Wasn't expecting Scolari to be gone this soon though

Yeah. Oh well, at least they're a manager down :D

JerseyboyUK 02-09-2009 07:43 PM

Let's hope it stays that way for another two weeks before they get to Villa Park!!:)

I don't think they will get one for a few weeks.

KeepTheFaith2211 02-09-2009 08:45 PM

Well done Chelsea for doing the right thing, get a decent manager in so we can have a decent title race!

Just wish Arsenal would get motivated. :(

Title race is already decent. Man U, Liverpool and even Villa competing for it. Chelsea are 5 points behind, anything can happen.

JerseyboyUK 02-09-2009 11:02 PM

I'd still say Chelsea are in it. It's exciting that it's still between three teams (Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea) at this stage in the season.

Villa won't win the league, but we will have a large part to play in who does. We have only lost once to a 'big four' club this season and we still have to play Man Utd (away), Liverpool (away), and Chelsea (home).

I still reckon Man Utd will drop a couple of points soon.

I wouldn't rule you out. I hope Man U do drop points soon. That will make it exciting.

Jim Bon Jovi 02-10-2009 01:46 AM

i've been saying all season man u will win it and the way they're playing i can't see them not.

liverpool have bottled it again and chelsea won't catch up.

i used to go to school with fergie's nephew. what a testicle of a boy he was.

UKjovi 02-10-2009 08:57 AM

Anyone else think that managers get sacked too quick these days?

When it's Chelsea, they do. Some managers should of been sacked a while back.
