Creepy Richie Sambora Reprise?

So,

Can anybody explain the really creepy 'you are not alone' loop at the end of the reprise of All That Really Matters on the collectors edition? What the Hell is that?

The Japanese edition is not ready so to say. On the final edition you see that this "you are not alone" stuff is mixed into the song you are not alone.

Beavoid 07-21-2008 08:23 AM

What do you mean not ready? As in. they shipped it before it was finished and things are in the wrong spot and it's a crummy release? So, is there a proper release of the extra material on any version?

I think a pirate version escaped to Japan, so they rushed out on official, but unfinished version. That's as much as I can tell ya.

It was just a mistake on the first pressing. Which has been corrected by 2nd (and following) shipments....
Got nothing to do with 'not ready' or something else. Its not uncommon either, happens every now and then on whatever artist...

Not true at all.

When Richie had been recording Undiscovered Soul an unfinalized copy leaked on the Japanese market which made Richie release the unfinished version in Japan so that he'd be ahead of the bootlegs that without a doubt would appear on the black market. The rest of the world had to wait another month for the album though.

They kept it this way when they re-released Undiscovered Soul as a Japanese Tour Edition. The first disc still had the unmastered version (without Steven Tyler on harmonica at If God Was A Woman for example), while Richie released the finalized version in the rest of the world.

Why there is such an odd bonus track on the Japanese pressing is something I don't know. It's not a mistake and probably done as some sort of joke.

So the other versions don't have him repeating "You Are Not Alone" 147 times at the end of the song? 8) I got a copy when it was released a month early in Japan. I don't think I ever bought any of the subsequent releases.

I always thought that for a song that was a "lullaby" it was likely to induce paranoid schizophrenia.

Where can I listen to this? I tried Youtube but it isn't there.

Really? Your only association with the album is through the earlier Japanese release?

Beavoid 07-22-2008 11:22 AM

That's the only association I have with the reprise. It's not on the official general release here in The States.

Thanks for the info everyone, btw

So, I guess to sum up; Nobody really know what in the hell that creepy thing is at the end and the only explanation is a rushed release due to a Japanese bootleg.
