Are drummers fitter than footballers ??
 

There is an article in the papers today regarding a report from a group of scientist saying that most drummers will use as much engery per night of a tour as a top flight footballer does once a week at a match !!!

That's an interesting article (although I don't know much about Clem Burke). You only have to watch the likes of like Neil Peart, Dave Lombardo, Jon Bonham and Keith Moon to know that those scientists are talking sense. :)

Well they are talking about soccer players who spend most of their energy taking dives ... :rolleyes:

the premise is laughable.

only a very select few drummers will burn close to the same amount of calories than an athlete will.

case in point how many 20+ stone footballers do you see compared to pro drummers?...

nah... nah...

and your heart rate can be brought up just as easily if someone scares the sh*t out of you,

I don't play drums but there's a drum set in my house. Does that count? Am I hot and sexy?
