1989 turned into 1990? :p J/K
Seriously though, I think the band's "style" was best during the KTF period.
Of course, they could wear ****ing clown suites as long as they sound good IMO.

i do love all that 80s stuff, it was all so theatrical. But there's no way it would suit them these days... jon does look a bit bland sometimes but richie still wears some pretty random clothes now and again...

having said that i was just thinking of jbj on saturday night live - imo he looked better dressed as himself in the 80s than he did in his presenting clothes (that blazer-with-leather-front-and-back-but-not-leather-sleeves...)

EDIT: obviously i care more about the music, i just love clothes too!

People grow up, fashion changes. It's not just Bon Jovi moving on. Or do you wear the exact same clothes you wore, say, 10 years ago?

What's wrong with Ricky Martin? He bangs, he bangs!

As long as you wash them every now and then there isn't really anything wrong with that now is there? :(

Salaam Aleikum,

So that's why the jeans were ripped!

.

Agreed. Hot era. In all ways.

I love people that stand out! I think it's great to have a unique style. That's why I never follow any trends, and just wear what II want.

But atlough ripped jeans are hot :D - as long as they are doing great songs, obviously it doesn't matter. I do think they got too "average" with their style, though. It's a shame really. :p

I suppose you could say that. I wear the same t-shirts and jeans syle that I grew up with in the 60's (and that's alot longer than 10 years ago). I went through a period in my thirties when I cut my hair and tried to wear "grown up" clothes. It didn't last long LOL. It helps that I work in construction and can wear jeans for working - a big plus in my opinion.

I should mention that Bruce has done the same thing. For a while he went very classy, casual - black silk shirts, slacks etc. He seems to be back to his normal jeans too LOL. Perhaps Jon still has a few years to go before he's comfortable being himself again.

I think it has something to do with having kids of a certain age :(

I like his onstage get up. With exception of the leather jacket, I wouldn't mind adding that Pink dress shirt and blue dress sirt to my wardrobe, though im not much of a jeans guy.

They needed to change their look, and they did so without following a trend, and for that I respect them.
