How safe Mumbai is?

I'm planning to go to Mumbai for Live Earth 2008. It will be a short trip, just a couple of days, fly in there Saturday and fly back to London Monday.
I've read the article re One killed and 18 wounded after New Delhi bombing..........
Does anyone know how safe Mumbai is? I will be staying at OBEROI, 5stars, so I believe the hotel is safe, though...

Exactly...Mumbai is just as safe and dangerous as London.

The hotel is 188.568 GBP (=237.06EUR) per night for 1 room, not that pricy for 5 star hotel like The Ritz London which cheapest room is 250GBP(=314.299 EUR). You know, there's no such nice hotel in London with the rate.:D
