Here are the top 10 acts in terms of numbers of tickets sold, according to Pollstar.com, a leader in tracking such information. The list is not based on touring revenues, which would give acts who charge more per ticket higher rankings:

Bon Jovi, 1.8 million tickets sold - Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora and Co. continue to draw crowds in their 40s and 50s, as well as some new younger fans, 24 years after the group's debut album.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, 1.5 million tickets - The Boss' legendary live shows, still running well over two hours, plus rumors that his band may hang it up have kept demand strong.

The Police, 1.1 million - The group's year-plus reunion tour after a 22-year hiatus gave hungry fans what they wanted.

Kenny Chesney, 1.03 million - This superstar is one of the few country acts that can pack stadiums. His beach-flavored show has become a summertime tradition.

Celine Dion, 954,223 - After a lengthy stint in Las Vegas and some European shows, this pop songstress has embarked on 36 dates in North America.

Iron Maiden, 920,151 - For three decades, this British metal giant has toured and churned out albums. Its latest tour boasts one of its most elaborate stage sets.

Rascal Flatts, 848,446 - This group's upbeat mix of country, pop and rock have made it hugely popular with fans in their teens and 20s.

Jonas Brothers, 753,435 - After touring with Hannah Montana's Miley Cyrus, this young trio of brothers has moved into headliner territory.

Dave Matthews Band, 753,045 - The group's perennial touring success was dampened by the August death of founding member LeRoi Moore after an ATV accident.

Michael Bublé, 686,269 - This Canadian singer's jazzy take on old and new pop standards makes him popular with a diverse audience.

Yeah the numbers for BJ and Bruce are way too low for the entire tour.

1.8 millions tickets is pretty impressive considering they didn't do any stadiums in the US.

They're suprisingly big, actually. It's strange how many little girls buy concert tickets.

It is strange. When I was that age, I didn't have enough money to buy concert tickets. Hell, I still don't have enough money to buy concert tickets! Well, if I want to eat that month, that is.

It's weird, they seem to be massive in the US but not that many people here have heard of them unless they're addicted to the Disney Channel.
