My decs are now up and my tree is dressed ! Dawn |
I am looking forward to Christmas this year. Managed to block it all out until last weekend as I went to London with my family.
Am disapointed that they already have turned on the lights here in town. Normally they wait untilt he tradition December 8th No decorations up yet thankfully in the house or at work. We are def waiting! |
Christmas is officially illegal here but it just means people on the compound are going mental with decoartions. I'll need to get some photos.
I've asked my folks to buy me a book I really want but can't get out of here so I can get it when I get back and my mum's bought me a chocolate santa and chocolate coins since we get them every year :D A friend on the compound is going home to the Phillipines for christmas in a few days but gave me a present tonight which I was really touched by cos I wasn;t expecting anything out here. I'll keep it till christmas day to open even though i've already sussed out it's a photo frame :D |
Got my train booked for heading back up North for Christmas :) Heading back home about a week before, having a special 'Extra Christmas' with my friends on the 20th where we'll exchange presents, sit around watching old Christmas films and attempt making a Christmas lunch :) Spending the day itself with the parents, where we will probably just take it easy in the morning and then spend the afternoon at the beach :) My mum's birthday is Boxing Day so it's like a 2-day party in our house:p
Can't wait to get back home- my flatmate here has banned any form of Christmas decorations in the flat for whatever reason, so when I finally get back to Aberdeen I can go crazy with the tinsel and carols! |
Had a few flakes of snow today :D

I'm sure we had the tiniest bit of snow the other day :)
As long as it's after I break up from school, I'm happy. |
If it's going to snow, I hope it waits until after I've arrived back home. People down here in the Central Belt are such pansies when it comes to snow, 5mm of it and suddenly the whole place comes to a standstill because of the 'blizzard'
Man, I'd love to see what these people would do in an Aberdonian snowstorm;) |
