It's snowing here right now - big fluffy white snowflakes. We got our first taste of winter last week - some parts of the province received 50 cms or more of snow.

I'm finding it hard to get into the Christmas spirit this year. I mean, I work retail so Christmas is usually a trying time to begin with but the last 6 weeks have been rough on the family with my dad losing both parents. I hope I get more than two days off next week so I can go home to be with the family.

It snowed 36 cm here 2 weeks ago. That's a snowfall. I have a love-hate relationship with snow. Its really fun and fluffy and good to ski in, but usually its cold when it snows. I hate cold.

Could be worse...you could be in Edmonton right now. What was it they got down to with the windchill last week, -56 or something?

Yeah it was with the wind chill. But while they were getting -56, we were getting -45 with the wind chill, -34 without it. Right now its -10, so I'm happy, but damn it was cold.
