hometownboy 12-26-2008 09:09 PM

mo_rizwan 12-26-2008 09:26 PM

I cannot believe I saw a Sticker Label on a TV in Zavvi that said £7.99.....only to be then told that it's a hoax! :(

What are the odds on that? :D

Kathleen 12-26-2008 09:37 PM

A new super sound card here for the newest computer (I'm so predictable) :D

(Don't)Lie_to_me 12-26-2008 09:55 PM

A replacement for the recently departed eco-section of my garage (Smart car, sold it last month), a Vespa moped from my parents; a selection of Clapton stuff from my brother; clothes, aftershaves, books and an Alan Shearer autographed Newcastle Utd shirt from various aunts, uncles and cousins; and I bought myself a leather corner sofa :p

'Course giving is better than receiving, so a great many books, games, DVDs and clothes were given by me, along with a Wines and Spirits selection for Dad, 2 Aromatherapy sessions for Mum and a reasonably comprehensive load of fishing gear for my brother.

Couldn't make it snow though.

Jovigirl90 12-26-2008 10:05 PM

This is a conversation I had with my dad 2 weeks ago, he starts the conversation...

"Which do you prefer from the Wii, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3?"

"Well we already have a PS3 in the household, so that :p I hate Xbox and the Wii is something I just don't like the idea of"

2 weeks later...Christmas Day to be exact...

"Aw a Nintendo Wii! Thanks guys! :D"

Inside thoughts - "Where do my parents keep reciepts?"

Haha. Why don't you like them?

Goldsausage 12-27-2008 10:38 PM

I gave it ago yesterday and I must confess, I had lots of fun.

But I just know the novelty will wear off in a week and I'm not too keen on family orientated games anyway - but the majority of the Wii games are unfortunatly aimed at familes :(

Man, I've got so many stories to tell about this Christmas but I'd need a whole forum of my own to fit all of them in.

Haha, well try and narrow it down :p

Goldsausage 12-27-2008 10:47 PM

I can't man, too much stuff!

Captain Walrus 12-28-2008 01:35 AM

There are plenty of Wii games that aren't aimed at families. Legend Of Zelda, Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy, all awesome games. Resident Evil 4 is good too

UKjovi 12-28-2008 12:34 PM

We got Wii for Christmas between us all. Its great fun although punching the air in the boxing game has hurt us believe it or not .

Those one particularly? Now you're just being difficult!

What kind of games do you like then?

I don't really have a type of game I like to be honest, just like what I like. I love GTA but recently I've also found a new love for Sonic :D Which is weird as I hate Mario because...I don't even know why, I just usually lump him and Sonic together :p

I never thought I'd like Call Of Duty (or any first person shooter) but this year I found myself asking Santa for COD5!

But I hate family games 90% of the time cos I like to keep myself to myself and most Wii games are aimed at families, with the exceptions of those games you pointed out and there are most likely lots more too. Whereas with the PS3 you get offered all sorts of different games so my varied and non-specfic taste gets treated nicely and I can just get what takes my fancy.

I hope this makes sense, I haven't proof-read it and I just typed as I was thinking it.

It made sense. I know what you mean though, sometimes i'm not into family games (apart from xmas) but that's the way the cookie crumbles!
