These Days

Hi everyone :)

I'm watching the DVD from Milton Keynes 2006(second night) and I noticed for the first time(I've watched it loads :|) that Jon is using his acoustic guitar rather than his telecaster.

When did this change take place and why?

No idea. He should stop playing that ****ing acoustic guitar all the time, anyway, it's a shit excuse not to move about the stage, and he's not one of those frontmen who can get away with standing still and still looking very cool.

Well it's needed on some songs, though, so he has to play it really. :p

I also never knew he played it on 'Twist & Shout'

I don't mind it on the odd song, sometimes when he plays it, it works well with the song.

But when he plays it on the more upbeat songs, and even on some ballads, I despair. It's such a lazy excuse not to move about onstage.

I agree to an extent, it works well on stuff like 'Captain Crash' and 'Bells Of Freedom'.

Honestly though, what ballads? The main three ballads he doesn't use it and on Never Say Goodbye he has to as it is usually an all-acoustic song. :)

He used it for these days since HAND tour as far as i know, i never get why he used the acoustic so much, i dont mind him using guitar for wanted and sleep but the other songs e doesn't really need to use it, at least bobby could become useful if jon didn't play so much..

They had just finished playing Wanted and I remember before the song started Jon was asking (i presume his guitar tech) where his electric guitar was but he never got it so just went on with his acoustic.

It's an incredible performance.

Oh right, thanks for clearing that up. :)

An incredible performance? Yeah I think it was excellent, especially the solo, but Jon's vocals were still struggling a little though. :|

Best setlist of the tour, MK night 2 as well. :)

Shame, wish this song was played more often. TBH, I believe it is probably in every Bon Jovi fan's top 10 songs.
