Keep The Faith - Studio Or Live?
 

Keep The Faith is my favourite song and has been since I became a fan. However, I have noticed something.

In such threads lately about live performances and stuff, people have said that this is one of their favourite songs live. I can see why it might be, it's a great rock song full of energy, can be extended with Sympathy For The Devil in it etc.

But, honestly, I think this is the ONLY song that I prefer studio-wise. Don't get me wrong, I love it live but I just think it can't live up to the studio version. It's pretty much perfection IMO.

I see what you mean. Some performances live are just amazing, some aren't. Depends what mood i'm in really. The one at Giants Stadium 2001 is a fantastic performance and i love the one on the OWN CD.

Definately live for me.
Maybe i've listened to it to much in the past but studio version doesn't do that much for me.

I just love both.
If the studio version had the guitar outro from the live it would be perfect. But I just love both.

Tell you what though, hate the version off Live From London! :(

Haven't listened to it for ages. I'm listening the the version off the OWN Live CD. I love this version.

The studio version just doesn't have the same power to it IMO.

the big problem with ktf is that the band, everyone in the band, has to be completely in the pocket or else it just doesn't work.

when they do pull it off live it's brilliant but it can be flat if it starts too slow or tico is having an off night since the drums push the full song.

I only like it live, have never cared for it studio.

slight tangent but i noticed 9 of the 12 tracks on keep the faith fade out. Crazy stuff.
