Yes I normally don't want to pay for it either but the arnhem show from the magic tour I couldnt find on any torrentsites at that time. I been at that show. I also bought a bootleg from the concert he gave with the seeger sessions band in Holland. Awesome setlist en show, pity it very much I couldnt be there.

Then again, even it was on torrents I doubt I would download it. I am too spoiled with usenet :)

I salute you,
TS

However there are certain bootlegs that I have made an exception for, such as the Led Zeppelin Blu-Ray from the 2007 concert in London. That has never been shared publicly and if I wanted it - I had to pay for it (and yes - I wanted it)

The Crystal Cat pressings are the only bootlegs I buy nowadays. Not just because of the boot itself but also the package is very very nice and also it's only Bruce and depeche Mode I buy usually. all other I download.

I too love usenet. Which reminds me. When Bon Jovi postponed their Blu-Ray release of MSG in this country I ordered mine from the UK. While I was waiting for shipping I found a lovely DVD version by a nice dud named......Thunderstrucker. If it happened to be you - I'll say thank you. It did quite nicely until my Blu-Ray version showed up :)

i completely stopped using stuff like usenet or limewire after some friends got a "nice" letter from lawyers and had to pay about2.000 $ for not more than 5 illegal downloads.....

Good thing I live in Holland then. They can't make up their mind here whay they want with it. It's not entirely illegal here yet. It's illegal to use peer-2-peer for downloads but usenet is Peer-Server-Peer and thats not illegal at the moment, at least not entirely so I am not worried.

I was out for dinner with a few friends a couple of days ago and I heard the coolest Bruce story. Now this is second hand info so might not be true but cool if it is. I know this one will make Oli jealous, so worth telling for no other reason then that;).

This guy I was out with was telling me how one of his best friends was out for dinner last summer at this exclusive restaraunt in Dublin called Chapter One. He was there for a little while with a party and the manager approached them and asked would they mind moving to another table as they had a VIP coming and he had requested that table. They said sure, no problem and moved to another part of the restaraunt.

So later on that night this guy was outside having a cigarette and there was another guy out there on his phone. When he got off his phone this guy started to talk to my friend's firend. The phone guy asked him how he was enjoying his meal. My friend's friend started to tell him how they had to move tables for some VIP but he didn't know who ended up coming. The phone guy apologised and told him that that was his party so my friend's friend asked him who the celebrity was. The phone guy told him it was Bono and apologised and thanked him for moving tables. My friend's friend said it was no problem and asked this guy could he possibly get Bono's autograph for him. The phone guy said he would see what he could do and went back inside.

So when my friend's friend was finishing up their waiter came over with the bill and told him the man he was talking to earlier had paid for his party's bill and had it signed by Bono. My friend's friend was shocked and asked the waiter who was the man who paid for the bill. The waiter told him it was Bruce Springsteen!

Cool story - interesting read! Would fit in my view of Bruce's persona!
