Oh yeah. Good point

Oli i agree bail now before it's too late. We are no better than Born_to_run if this goes through. I bet he was at some KISS messsage board last year when someone said 'go say everything bon jovi ever did is shit' at drycounty.com.

1. Let's not be so vanilla
2. The initial idea was to say Let's Be Friends was the best ever Springsteen song
3. The Oli Train has started riding, it doesn't stop

That's how a lot of the "festivals" that we have over here are -- like Summerfest where Jovi is playing. Thank goodness! Unfortunately, Bruce is playing Bonnaroo which is a stinky camping one.

So i'm guessing you are off to summerfest but skipping Bonnaroo?

It wouldn't be so bad but over here Glastonbury normally ends as a mud fest on account of the weather. And as much as i like the band i don't want to get trenchfoot watching them.

What Bruce gigs areyou getting to this tour then?

1. Can i be exempted from all blame?
2. If you do this i beg you do not go on and on like born_to_run
3. If i put a damsel such as Gabriella Chilmi on the train tracks will the Oli train stop?

1. I would never blame any of my wrong doings on a lady
2. I shall not overkill the joke like BTR did. Also, I'll do it with style.
3. All depends, is she naked and is there another woman, such as Marion Raven, tied on top of her? Cos if so then yes, the Oli train will stop.

Yep -- going to Summerfest -- Jovi on Thursday night, Keith Urban on Friday, and waiting to hear about Saturday night. They still haven't announced the headliner. Sometime soon would be really nice so that we can finalize travel plans.

I probably won't be at Bonnaroo. The site is only about 3-4 hours from me (without traffic -- who knows with Bonnaroo traffic, though). I absolutely won't do all 4 days, and it looks like they don't sell single day tickets. We had some conflicting information on that when it was first announced, but I'm pretty sure they don't. I'm not paying almost $300 to just go one day.

At this point, I'm only seeing Bruce here in Atlanta. :( I'd have gone to Greensboro, North Carolina, a week later, but I have to be in Ohio for a dog show. I'm having hobby conflicts! LOL I'm still scheming, though, for some dates in Northeast, but that would require more travel. In this economy, I really shouldn't . . . but as soon as I heard the first bootlegs, I started looking. LOL I'm so weak.

EDIT - I've seen pics from Glastonbury over the years. <shudder> Funny how some events are just doomed!

I think Glastonbury do day tickets but only for locals as a kind off pay off for creating chaos in the village for the weekend.

I have the same feelings as you. I have Hyde Park i shouldn't really travel to Scotland or even mainland Europe.....but is one gig enough?

Yes this is exactly what is on the tracks ahead. it takes a long time for a train to stop so best stop now, get off and walk the rest of the way to the scene.

I'll be watching on the BBC probably in pure jealousy as Bruce plays Thunder Road as the sunsets on a beautiful warm, dry Somerset day.

Thats the great thing about him doing US dates first. By the time he gets to the UK he will have sorted out what goes down well and if songs work in certain places in the set.

If I knew that there were going to be more U.S. dates after the European leg, I'd wait. Last tour, Bruce hit Atlanta before Europe, but then came back to the south after it and played Charleston and Nashville (and maybe more that I'm not thinking of). I just don't know if that's gonna happen in this economy and with Max going west with Conan. So my scheming continues.

Kathleen, this is all your fault!
