And you got Youngstown! So you have no right to complain about any aspect of the show. Even if Bruce shouted out "You're all a bunch of mother****ers" you let him get away with it because he played Youngstown.

No it was an actual irish jig. instrumental too if i remember correctly.

there'll be a riot if he does that at hampden.

all i can say is what a gig that was,

with the exception of london crowds always being full of wankers, the gig was faultless..

I'm not sure if I'd say it was my best ever gig but the fact that i regard it up there with when i saw ray davies says a lot about how good it was.

You think all the protestants are gonna go mad? **** them, it's a Bruce Springsteen show and Bruce and The band will play what they please. and I'm sure the majority of the crowd will love it.

Protestants, loyalists call them what you will but rod stewart ver near kicked off a riot at the gig of his i was at by playing clips of celtic playing against rangers. I was pissed off myself. not necesarilly because i'm a rangers fan but because someone like him should know exactly how half his crowd would react to that and people could have ended up being seriously hurt.

the fact of the matter is, we have enough arseholes roaming around here looking for trouble at gigs without giving the knuckledragging football wankers an excuse to start fighting.

apart from that, the song was absolute shite :D

I love Rod Stewart, would kill to see him live.

BUT ANYWAY...

Kathleen or Terri - how old is Nils? And how long has he been part of the E Street for? He only looks about 30! He also looks devilishly awesome, a mix of Richie and Tico.

I think that's my only question for now :)

I'm certainly not as qualified to answer Bruce-related questions as Kathleen is, but I'll give this a try. According to Wikipedia, Nils is 58! He's been a part of the E Street Band since 1984. The most noticeable thing about Nils -- other than his amazing guitar skills, of course -- is that he's a really little guy (5' 3" according to what I found on the web). He makes Bruce look tall! Oh, one other thing. He had both hips replaced between the Magic and WOAD tours.

:o But he looks so incredibly awesome, definatly doesn't look like a 58 yr old, hip-replaced man.

And on Wiki I just found out he's Italian - this naturally explains why I've become attracted to him (in a straight way) - I just looooooooooooooove Italians :D

well i just got back from glastonbury and its safe to say that bruce was the best act i saw! (tom jones was a close though :p)

standout songs:
the river: what a performance! it was unbelievable
promised land: that was amazing
hard times: i never knew how good that song was
sunny day: its cheesy but was a great laugh
outlaw pete: brilliant

i noticed bruce kept going behind the drumkit to wash his face with a sponge and at the end of the gig a roadie through the sponge into the crowd and i caught it!

:o That's so cool! No really, it is!

And that just adds another reason to the long list of why I dislike you Joe :p

Nils plays an epic solo from 4:30 in this vid, he has a strange technique seems to work though
