Those Dublin shows are really close to my birthday, but I'd prefer to see Alice Cooper anyway, so I'll give them a miss. :)

I was wondering if that would work for you Terri - super :D

Now about that Born to Run album - perhaps you could arrange NOT to have a front row seat so that a recording would be possible LOL.

Irishshin 08-08-2009 11:00 PM

If those Dublin shows are true then I will also be at both :D
And it will be inside so no rain this time woot! :D

Irishshin 08-08-2009 11:01 PM

:( They aren't true
UB40 & Beyonce are playing those nights

Even though ticket sales evidently were less than stellar, Nashville had been on sale for awhile and they were fresh-out of front row seats. ;) Because of the paperless ticketing issue, I still got a decent ticket, but I should NOT have security in my face! I'm definitely due for a change of luck in that regard.

Yeah - I heard that ticket sales were not so hot. I hope that's not a trend. In any case - we might get lucky and hear the BTR album here in Giants. He might not feel behooved to announced it ahead of time since the stadiums sold out here. If we do - I will be one happy camper :D

While we're wishing, can we wish for Darkness, too? I just love Darkness . . .

Chica Guacamole 08-10-2009 06:06 PM

If the rumours are true and he is playing Dublin in November, I am so going! I think I even have a reading week from uni then so I wouldn't even have to skive :)

Sorry but now I know def. that those Dublin dates are incorrect as they are going to be
playing in Buffalo on Nov. 22. :-(

Well then, you best hope that the gig in France is not false and materalises, or I'll be a very unhappy person and may call you a few naughty words.

But if that date does turn out to be false and you don't wanna be called a few naughty words and would hate to see me upset, you could always gimme lots money to go see him in the States :)

No pressure.

Here's this morning's press release "Finaliz[ing] Remaining 2009 Tour Dates." That's immediately spawned speculation on Backstreets & Greasy Lake that the door is left open for the tour to continue in 2010. It does sound like this is it for 2009.

God, I pity the poor ****s who buy tickets for that show. How boring to see an album live, exactly as it is on record. WTF has happened to Bruce's creativity - I mean, if there's one guy you thought could be trusted to mix it up?!!!!!

C'monFeet 08-11-2009 09:10 PM

Just checked out the R&R Hall of Fame show on ticketmaster - top seats (just regular, not hospitality) $2054.50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Thank god it was only $2054.50 - If it were $2055, that would be too much)

Goldsausage 08-12-2009 01:39 PM

So...am I right in thinking that there is no French date now?

God dammit, that took place right next to my birthday too, it was going to be so awesome :(

Damn you asok :(

Chica Guacamole 08-12-2009 01:43 PM

As long as he plays in France when I'm there next year, I'll forgive him. Anyone think there's even a slight possibility of a tour early next year? I'm dying to see him live again (only next time, I'm going standing. Those people in seating at Glasgow really bugged us).

Goldsausage 08-12-2009 02:16 PM

There's speculation he might be swinging around early next year. That's great and all, but him, Jovi, Marion Raven and other things to pay for will leave me on the streets without a home :o I need to get a damn job.

Also...my DVD just arrived people!

Now I'm just waiting on my mate to come around so we can sit down and do the E Street Shuffle and get worn out trying to compete with Bruce.

Chica Guacamole 08-12-2009 02:19 PM

Hmmm....I'm not going to be abroad until July at the earliest, but it wouldn't be the first time that I've skipped class for a gig....

Bruce only did this once before - this past year in Red Bank for a fundraiser. He played both the Darkness and BTR albums. He got such rave reviews for it I guess he decided to try it again in a few places. Both those albums have such musical gems and rarities on them I, for one. would love to be present for such a show. Bruce does mix it up all the time - and never more so than on this present tour.

And as for the R & R HOF gig, I am going. I bought tickets for around $125.00 a piece. They are not the best seats in the house (not the worst either) but MSG is a small venue and I will be there :)

I should perhaps announce more clearly when I'm joking.

Crushgen24/88 08-12-2009 11:37 PM

As much as I want to try for one of the MSG shows, I'm going to Giants Shows, and apparently have to save up for Jovi shows. Why do I have a feeling this won't last?

Still no more Canadian dates. Boo-urns!

Although, the Nashville gig does happen to fall on my 25th birthday haha

Brilliant episode, 'football in the groin! FOOTBALL IN THE GROIN!' :D

Back on topic.

"BWAHAHAHA....The ball....his groin....it works on so many levels"

Ferret 08-15-2009 05:50 AM

A few songs from Bruce's Hyde Park set were broadcast today on Sky Arts 1 (and some Neil Young as well :D). I believe they were;

1. The 59 Sound (with the Gaslight Anthem)
2. Born To Run
3. Radio Nowhere
4. Rosalita
5. Jungleland (FUCK YES)
6. London Calling
7. Lonesome Day

Stick them together with the songs broadcast from Glastonbury and you've got yourself a great soundboard quality bootleg, admittedly with two versions of Born To Run. The more technologically gifted of us (ie. not myself) could also make a neat DVD. I'll be sure to compile my audio bootlegs of Bruce and Neil's shows in time for my holiday :)

Now I have a dime account can anyone point me in the direction of the broadcast from Hyde Park? Wouldn't mind if anyone could find the Neil Young songs they aired either.

We can't include file sharing links here, but if you put springsteen in the search box on the main page, you'll see the Hyde Park DVD. To see if the Neil Young songs are on here put +neil +young in the search box. Have fun!

Thanks, downloading Bruce's set now. Only 0.6% though, damn torrents are so slow! No sign of Neil's set either :(

Hey -- be nice! It's free, and its there because one guy decided to share. Once the whole thing gets out there, the number of seeders will go up and so will the speed. But it still goes back to ONE person being willing to share in the first place. I have a slow upload speed, but if someone thinks what I'm sharing is worthwhile, what's a little time?

Of course, I know it's a great thing that people upload this stuff and I'm very grateflul, I just think torrents in general are very slow (or maybe it's just the torrents I download <_<) and I'm entitled to a little moan

Goldsausage 08-15-2009 08:17 PM

So I woke up this morning and I was just thinking...

MAN, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN IS SO DAMN AWESOME.

Seriously, what's with the man? How do you get to become so frickin' awesome?

How do you become a genius?
How do you become so damn awesome?
How do you become the coolest man alive?
How do you become Bruce Springsteen?

How? HOW?!

Practice.

A lot of practice.

A touch of luck and a touch of inspiration.

But mostly practice.

People aren't born that way.
