Hearts Breaking Even and If That's What It Takes
 

Anyone have a guess why this has never been played live? Would anyone want to hear it? Wouldn't it worked well?

I'd like to hear them live. Not sure why they aren't though. Maybe the band don't like them. It's a bit wrong to do that as it should be what the fans like but not sure. I guess it's the band that only know.

I personally reckon both of these songs would kill the atmosphere at a show.

I agree, both wouldn't work well live although I wouldn't mind hearing HBE.

Good question. Maybe it's the same with "Woman In Love", of which Jon said it shouldn't be on KTF. (I disagree, on a sidenote). I remember him saying somewhere ITWIT was the last song written for TD and shouldn't be there as well (I disagree again).

But not being played live never bothered me, they just don't have that live feel, you know? Maybe they are just "album tracks", in a positive way . "If That's What It Takes" is a personal favourite of mine, still one I don't necessarily need to hear live... I know where to find it, TD track 11!!! HBE is the worst track on TD for me, a good song on the album, but that's about it.

I love Hearts Breaking Even but it does have a huge similarity to Cryin' by Aerosmith which I also love. :p
