Jon's 11 thousand dollar vest
search Ebay with highest price first to see it
I have watched the 89 homecoming show a few times and don't remember the vest at all, but if it appears in the vid it is probably worth about $1000 not $11,000 crazy people The sad thing is that of the first 20 items in this search 10 are counterfeit, 2 are of questionable authenticity, 1 is incomplete and only 7 are genuine with 1 grossly overpriced. I used to love to buy memorabilia but the market is just full of liars and thieves now. Dave |

That vest is horrific.....so i think he probably did wear it at some point in the 80s.
I want to know how did they get Jon's DNA to compare it with? It just says it has authentically got some DNA on it? Wow ok i'll spit on a tissue and whack it on Ebay. this Jon Bon Jovi tissue has authentic DNA on it. |
It doesn't have any of Jon's DNA at least not according to the seller.
The synthetic DNA they use to mark the vest is a gimmick by the authenticity company (all of those companies and thier certificates are scams, this is just a new scam twist), the idea is that they can chemically check the DNA marker on the collectible in question to be sure it is the same item they originally marked and not a counterfeit. The companies used to put holograms on thier certificates to convince people they were important authenticators instead of clever thieves, but these days they go to greter lengths of frippery. Dave |
Ok, I'm no forensic expert here (like most people I only 'know' what I see on CSI) but surely any kind of DNA traces left on a piece of clothing would have deteriorated after 20 years.
