It's an old technology; no point sharing one-to-one when bittorrent sharing can allow multiple users to get the same thing amongst a wider community all at once. Try sites like dimeadozen for shows these days.

Well, in the hub you got kicked out for not sharing. Too bad you can't do that with torrents.

Hey Ice boy... how are you?

Are you still mad with me?

Well... I just want to remember you that I was kicked by that HUB because my point view about sharing oficial stuffs...

By the way, I usually to share a lots of mp3 and videos with my friends from Brazil, and I still doing it with friends from USA, Germany, Australia, Spain, Argentina, England, Japan.

For other side, I still collect my singles, oficials cds, original bootlegs, etc... But I love music and I love Bon Jovi, and if it's a crime to share oficial cds in USA, I fell sorry... but this can't stop me to explore the music in Brazil...

Best regards!

Technically you can monitor a persons share ratio and, if it dips below a certain point, impose restrictions on them.

It annoys me when people complain though about not being able to keep 1:1 on torrents - I have 2mb down and 1/4mb up yet I still manage to do it; just takes time and patience. Sometimes it can take literally weeks to get back to 1:1 but it's possible, even on the slowest torrent.

It's like buying a print of a painting and only having an outline; with no colour or texture to it. You can still see the basic picture, but you don't get the full richness of it.

Getting an MP3 in a trade is like someone who owes you $50.00 taking a 50 dollar bill cutting it into 100 pieces, taping 12 of those pieces back together and handing it to you while they throw away the other 88 pieces. Then when you ask them what the hell they are doing they look all befuddled and say "well it's still 50 bucks it's just smaller", and right before you punch them in the nose you wonder why they bothered at all.
