Who were the friends that he played with ? Were any of his band members playing the show ?

Guitar - Bobby Bandiera
Keys - Jeff Kazee
Bass - John Conte
Drums - Kenny Aronoff
Percussion - Everett Bradley
Horns - Undoubtedly 3 Jukes, but I'm not sure of their names. I bet Kathleen knows them, however.

Thanks, Kathleen. I knew you'd know their names. I wonder if they're still at the bar picking up women? LOL The horn section wasn't on stage when Jon introduced the band, and he commented 1) that they were probably at the bar saying "I'm with the band" and 2) that they'd never seen that many women at a show before! ;)
