Sadly, it doesn't work that way, or do you honestly believe that when Chris Martin named his daughter Apple he never once considered that the child might be bullied with such a name? Parents who give their child a name that odd don't think it thru and only think about themselves as in "I like it" in contrast whether the kid (and society) will like and/or accept it.

And secondly, you are not making fun of Jon who picked the name - if he picked it - but of the child who had that name imposed on him/her and who has nothing to do with this board.

So if I would not have mentioned the names of the children but would've made a topic saying "What was Jon thinking when he named his children?" it'd be alright? Because it'd be about Jon, and not about the child's name?

Band members' children are left out of this board, period. Even discussing Jon's hair or clothes is more on topic than debating his children's names.

It's still a double standard. I'm allowed to make jokes about the names of Michael Jackson's kids and no one will question it, yet I am not allowed to make jokes about the names of Jon's children. That's not the way this board used to work. If I remember correctly there was this big topic about Romeo Jon's name and how the poor child would never have a normal life. Nobody was deleting replies back then, so why do it now?
