Yesterday a watched a whole race again since months. But can anyone tell me what some of the cars have on the outside of their front tires? Looks like a plastic part is mounted on the rims and is overhanging to the front.

You mean like plastic wheel trims?

They help withthe aerodynamics and cooling the brakes etc.

Yeah, read the news just now. It's also been announced that MAx Mosleyt won't be standing for re-election as FIA president ;)
