Thats the way I see it anyway.

Oh I see, but then is it all about the name? Senna I mean. You know a touch of glory.
As for Maldonado he should have been kicked out of this race. Can he hold his temper for a whole race???? Sinead, Alonso didn't do so well because he's thinking about the Fiat 500 he drives :D

Nah, don't think it has a lot to do with the Senna name. Money and sponsorship are probably more important to the team.

Can't see any team giving Senna a drive just because of his famous uncle. HE justy needs a chance in a half decent car to show that he does have talent. He had a wasted year with HRT, I said to Sinead the other day, nobody could have impressed in that shocker of a car.

Irishshin 08-28-2011 03:36 PM

:O Alonso is doing all well!!! :)

Loving this race so far!!! Spa always deliverers! Rain or no rain!
Feel very sorry for Torro Rosso though, they did so well in Qualy!

Peterson 08-28-2011 04:54 PM

Was a good race. Hamilton was robbed though. If Lewis was the one to continue the race and Kobayashi go out, Leiws would have been slapped with a penalty. But because the shoe was on the other foot, nothing was done. Nigel Mansell seems to have something against Hamilton and it clearly showed today.

Drives of the race were Michael Schumacher, from last place up to 5th! Shows he's still got it..... whatever it is lol.

Also a great drive from Jenson Button, 13th to 3rd including an extra stop for a new nose cone. Excellent stuff!

Irishshin 08-28-2011 09:51 PM

Hamilton wasn't robbed. It was his own fault. And he has seen the light and admitted it on Twitter
https://twitter.com/#!/LewisHamilton

Think Maldando's penalty was pretty harsh and glad he got some points in the race.

Vettel pretty much has then thing won out. And over the next 2 races he will just win it...and I worry after that all the races will be pretty boring :(

Webber had a great drive today. Best pass 100% goes to him on Alonso. Def watching behind the cushion stuff :)

Loved this race.

UKjovi 08-29-2011 11:32 AM

Maldando's penalty was right. No way should he lose his temper like that.
I agree Alan, Mansell has got it in for Lewis and should shut up now.Schumacher was brilliant as was Jenson. Great race though :)

Peterson 09-02-2011 12:39 AM

Apparantly there is a report in the new Autosport magazine that says the BBC will be showing full race re-runs on the red button of the races they don't show live.

The deal is apparantly being finalised soon. Gonna buy the magazine tomorrow and see what it says.

Interesting!!!
Doubt anything will come of it, but still interesting!
Maybe that petition is doing something!!!!!

Was just about to post this Sinead lol. I think the petition has just shy of 25,000 signatures at the moment, still 75,000 to go! But yeah, it does seem like something is happening!

Also, found a link about the full re-runs I was talking about.....

http://www.planetf1.com/driver/18227...ow-full-reruns

I'm sure I can put up with a 3 hour delay if it means I don't need to fork out for Sky! Still not happy with the deal though.....

Irishshin 09-02-2011 10:49 PM

Full re-runs three hours later sounds great to me!!!
I so don't want to have to pay out for Sky.

I'm the same, don't want to have to get it, but my girlfriend has actualy given the go-ahead for us to get it if there aint any way of watching all the races.

But probably looking at £30 a month minimum, so would rather have that in my back pocket! Just means we'll need to stay off facebook/ twitter, probably half the internet until we've watched the re-run lol.

Thats IF this turns out to be true, really hope it is true though!

UKjovi 09-04-2011 12:36 PM

Sounds a great plan to me. I often watch it later anyway.

Me too, plus it'll be great for the races towards the start ofAustrailia and Malaysia etc, they're usually on at silly o'clock, so we won't need to worry about getting up early to see them live lol

Only thing is the Singapore GP will be on quite late....

That's fine with me! I hate it bring a night race and its bright here.
I think if it was dark here while i'm watching the atmosphere would be better :D

Haha, very true. Just need to get some fancy lights like they have on the buildings round the track! ;)

Peterson 09-05-2011 06:55 PM

Doesn't look like we'll be getting full race re-runs after all :(

Think we'll have to wait and see.
I can see that if we do get full race re-runs no-one is gonna watch on sky.
Esp if the BBC keep their people.

True, the BBC are keeping quiet about their plans for 2012 and the future, don't think there was any mention of the sky deal during the Belgian Gp weekend.... could be wrong though.

Anyway, guys at work were telling me about this site... www.vipbox.tv

Streams all kinds of sports from around the world, including whatever is shown on Sky Sports (and other channels inc BBC).... Currently watching the Scotland - Lithuania game live on it. A wee bit laggy, but think thats just my connection speed.

Gonna give it a bash this weekend for the Monza GP, see how it works out. Seems decent so far though!!!

Irishshin 09-06-2011 11:46 PM

Def gonna try that out this weekend :)

Last GP in Europe for 2011! Can't believe its here already!

It's worked fine for watching the Scotland game (we won!!), was a wee bit laggy to begin with, but sorted itself out after a few mins.

Fingers crossed it's ok for the F1 too!

Peterson 09-10-2011 02:53 PM

The streaming is working perfectly, just a few seconds delay from the tv.

Irishshin 09-10-2011 10:12 PM

Damn! I forgot to check the stream! Will remember tomorrow.

Boo to yet again Vettel on pole
But just reading on autosport he is running a shorter gear ratio
So that could be interesting. I dont think he will run away with it at the start which I think he needs to do if he wants to win!

Peterson 09-11-2011 08:24 PM

First half of the race was awesome, shame it trailed off towards the end :(

Awesome battle between the McLarens and Schumacher at the start, was never much of a fan of Schumi, but it is great seeing him fighting at the front again.

Really pissed off Vettel won again, can't help but think it would have been such a different story if the safety car hadn't had to come out.

The race stewards investigated the Liuzzi crash and awarded him with a penalty..... to drive for HRT again next year ;) Nah, he got a 5 place grid penalty... totally pointless IMO, he never starts any further forward than 23rd.

Irishshin 09-11-2011 09:24 PM

It was pointless. He shouldn't have got a penalty. Its not like he decided to purposely drive onto the grass and take out the other drivers. It was an accident. That kinda thing drives me nuts!

Yeah hate Vettel won again. Was really hoping Alonso could keep the lead or that Button would pass him.

Think Felipe would maybe have been in there a bit more if Webber hadn't tagged him.

Gutted Webber went out too.

Was a good race, end wasn't spectacular. But yup Monza was good!
Onto to Singapore!

Peterson 09-22-2011 12:43 AM

Got a text today saying my copy of F1 2011 for my ps3 has been posted, should be here tomorrow!!! A dayearly!, Can't wait!

some shots in the video look so real!

Walkerboy 09-22-2011 12:19 PM

Irishshin 09-24-2011 10:13 PM

I really really really really really do not want Vettel winning tomorrow

He is gonna win though isn't he?

:(

Hopefully not.... Button was looking quick, so fingers crossed he can throw a spanner in the works! Alonso too.

Both should be able to challenge him as long as he doesn't run off into the distance when the lights go out.

Although Webber is alongside on the front row, his recent starts have been shite, so he should be out the way pretty quick.

Only other thing I can think of that could stop Vettel is the turn 10 chicane ;)

UKjovi 09-25-2011 12:50 PM

Anything can happen today. Vettel might end up in the wall?

Xbox version has no update yet. Did my first weekend in career mode, came a solid last at Australian GP, 6 laps behind Button.

As for today's race, largely unentertaining until Jenson started to chase down Vettel. The moment he got the traffic ahead of him it was all over.

Yeah, the race was pretty boring apart from a few incidents.

Anyone see Massa's reaction after the race?

then this......

What a prick. Lewis couldn't have done much about hitting Massa and received yet another drive through for what was basically a racing incident.

And as for F1 2011..... love it!

Already won the WDC driving for Force India, had it wrapped up by Monza. So yeah, up ypurs Vettel! ;)

Irishshin 09-25-2011 09:53 PM

That could get the award for the most boring race of the year.

Come on...a racing incident?
Hamilton ruined Massa's race. No way was that racing incident! Massa has every right to be angry with Hamilton. Its not the first time this has happened this year.

Yeah, I saw it as a racing incident. Lewis looked like he went slightly wide to leave Massa room for the corner and unfortunately clipped Massa's tyre with his front wing.

Just the way I saw it anyway.

Same with the Kobayashi crash at Spa, Lewis was most of the way past KOB when it happened. It was KOB's front wheel that hit Hamilton's rear wheel, yet Lewis gets the penalty. Bullshit IMO.

Really beginning to lose patience with Hamilton these days, but just feel he needs a bit of a break from people criticising him.

I totally agree, yes it was Lewis fault but it was an accident. he clearly thought there was enough room although tight and for Massa to react like that was totally unprofessional. Speaking of unprofessional what is up with Eddie Irvine??? Calling Button the best number 2? He should know all about that shouldn't he? What a prick!
Vettel is still an amazing driver though. Yeah it's made racing predictable but you can't deny he's brilliant at what he does. Redbull do deserve this championship.

I'm driving for Lotus. Only assist I have is the racing line for corners. No braking, steering, ABS or Traction control. Computer AI is set at Intermediate.
Drove 2nd GP last night - Malaysia. Somehow managed to get 6th on the grid and was cruising along in 7th place until I got a puncture. Forgot to select the right tyres at the change and had to do an additional pit stop later on, so finished 18th.

Cool, i'm playing it on easy just now, simply cos I like to collect the trophies (acheivements to you lol) Dunno why I do, but always try to get as many as possible on my first playthrough of a game. At 40% at the moment and not even finished the first season.

Will move on to harder difficulty for next season. ;)

Peterson 10-08-2011 02:27 PM

Yawn.......... another pole for Vettel.

Fingers crossed Button & Hamilton have a decent start and keep the pressure on him, hopefully force him into a mistake.

Good race today... fantastic drive by Jenson once again too.
Not sure what opinion I have on Vettel's little move off the start. On one hand he didn't make multiple direction moves, but on the other hand he deliberately didn't take the racing line and forced Jenson off the track.

So he should've just let Button by? I think he did a very good move, didn't change his line more than once and still managed to keep Button behind him. The judges made the right call.
