Brundlw has just announced he is going to Sky for next year. Rumours of Ted Kravitz and David Croft will be offski too.
This is crap :( |
It's OK if you got plenty of money to spare, but who these days has???

Speaking of the red bulls..... If Vettel needed the win in Brazil for the Drivers title..... would he have had a gearbox problem? |
Quote:
Nope!!! That was a massive lie!!! Bad Red Bull! |

Kimi is coming back!!!
Delighted :multi: :multi: :multi: :multi: :multi: :multi: :multi: :multi: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/96573 |
Looking forward to the Red Bull Home Run next weekend.
Webber & Vettel are going to drive the cars up and down the streets in Milton Keynes. DC is also going to be there driving the Red Bull Nascar. |

Can't believe Williams have re-signed Maldonado! Useless driver IMO. Fair enough they need the money he brings in, but surely they must want a driver with at least SOME talent! |

Ted Kravitz is gone to sky as well. Interesting, I liked him in the pit lane during the races. Glad they took Steve Rider though. He was too in love with Hamilton for my liking. |

Glad Coulthard and Humphrey are staying on BBC, hopefully EJ will stay too, always thought he was a pain in the arse, but started to warm to him towards the end of the season. |

Hope he stays |

Hope we aint waiting too long. |

Just had a look at what they're doing there tomorrow.
They're setting up an F1 paddock that the public can walk around and they will also have a static show car on display. Not sure what time I'm going to get there, though they're expecting tens of thousands to attend. Going to be utter chaos. Decided to travel by train..... |
We went but it was so crowed didn't really see that much. I got to see the top of Webber and Vettels wing and helmet but that's it. The noise of it though was amazing! Saw the stunt biker as well. Very cold though!
|
We weren't going to go, but did in the end. Couldn't see anything on the road due to the amount of people. Ended up standing by the paddock and saw Webber come back in with the car and also saw DC and Jake.
|
Rumour.... Ben Edwards to partner DC in the BBC commentary box....
http://www.planetf1.com/driver/18227...mentary-report Can't say i've heard of the guy to say if it's a good or bad thing, so time will tell if it turns out to be true. |

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/mot...n-Brundle.html Looks like EJ is back on the BBC too. Nothing on the official BBC site yet though. EDIT: Ben Edwards has confirmed it on his twitter: @bennythebulb EDIT 2: Been pointed in the direction of some videos of races he has commentated on, his style is very similar to Murray Walker (in the way he gets very very excited!) (amazing race btw) (huge crash involving Jason Plato) |

Ricciardo & Vergne racing for Torro Rosso Am shocked at this. I like Buemi & Alguersuari I know there were doubts at the start of the year over Alguersuari but I thought he proved himself. Very sad for both of them :( |
Quote:
Dunno about Vergne, but Ricciardo seems decent, managed to show decent pace in one of the worst cars on the grid in 2011, beating his more experienced team mate etc. One to watch IMO... |
Nico Hulkenburg and Paul Di Resta confirmed for Sahara Force India in 2012. Wonder what will happen with Sutil, rumours of him taking the second seat at Williams.
Also, Ferrari are due to unveil their new car in Feb. |
Reports from Brazilian radio that Bruno Senna has signed for Williams in 2012.....

Just found this....
http://www.finalsector.co.uk/teams/w...with-williams/ Both Senna & Barrichello fighting over the seat. Will just need to wait and see how it works out. Also heard rumours of Petrov going to Caterham to replace Trulli. |

Gutted Rubens won't be on the grid this year but delighted he Ice Man is back. And Marussia have not passed the crash test yet. So that will be interesting. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/97710 |
Looking forward to the Texas track this year :)
|
Looking forward to the start of the season, but still finding it hard to get as excited about it as I have in previous years due to the BBC/SKY deal. Just gonna need to see how it goes I guess! Might stream the non live races on my laptop, but will see how I feel at the time.
Was so, so close to getting Sky a couple of weeks ago simply for the F1, could easily afford it, just not the right time at the moment. Putting our flat on the market next week, so didn't see the point in getting Sky installed just to have to get them back out to connect us up wherever we move to! |
Qualifying highlights are on BBC 2 at 1pm - 2:15pm next saturday.
Didn't even realise the BBC would be showing qualy at all, thought it was just the race highlights they had, so guess it's a bit of a bonus. Plus we don't need to worry about an early rise ;) |
Also, Kimi Raikkonen is gonna be on Top Gear this week. Sunday, BBC2 at 8pm.
|
Kimi rocks. Really just love him.
I think am gonna put a bet on him to win the championship |
Excellent Qualifying session this morning.
Nice to see that Red Bull didn't get close to front row. Thought Kimi would show what we've missed, but Grosjean put him firmly in the shadows, though it could have been different if Kimi hadn't got caught in traffic. As for Ferrari..... The least said, the better. |
Quote:
Really glad the Red Bulls didn't walk it like they have done so much recently. Should be a really close season. |
Just watched Qualy.
Didn't like the BBC at all. Ben Edwards...yeah not sure about him. It bugged me there was a red flag in Q2 but nothing was mentioned when Edwards mentioned it towards the end....I guess it was after Alonso's incident? They didn't even show all of Q3, and Q1 consisted mostly of replays and loads of the UK drivers. (yeah yeah I know the BBC is UK) And there was 18 mins of the show left after Qualy....which I didn't bother watching. Am worried bout the race now. I hate when they skip bits. Plus I just realised no live timing! I may have to invest in Sky. Gutted Kimi missed out on Q2, esp after seeing Grosjean qualify 3rd! I think the Lotus could be pretty good. Yeah Ferrari.....I don't have a clue, they need to fix the car I guess. And they need to have better strategies. As much as I don't want the Red Bulls dominating, would love to see Webber win the Australian GP :) |

Yeah, the qualy highlights were a bit of a mess, the race highlights were a lot better though. Didn't feel like too much was missing. I actually really liked Ben Edwards, reminds me a lot of Murray Walker in the way he gets so over-excited. He did kind of over shadow Coulthard at times though. From what i've been reading about the Sky program, people seem to have preferred the BBC's build up and after race show, but Sky had the better commentary. Seems that Sky have gone just a bit too flashy wheras BBC coverage seems a bit more personal. I enjoyed the race, great win for Jenson! Just a shame Vettel managed a second place. Felt gutted for Grosjean, thought he'd have finished well. And would have liked to have seen Schumi finish, he seemed to be running well before his car died. Quite a few of the mid field teams have improved quite a bit since 2011, Williams in particular, Maldonado was flying until his crash on the last lap. The Toro Rosso's had a good race aswell. |
