This rumour has been doing the rounds for years. Kimi & Felipe are with Ferrari for 2010.

After that well I guess then Alonso could be going to Ferrari.
I hope he isn't though. I like Alonso but prefer Kimi & Felipe :D

Irishshin 07-13-2009 12:39 AM

:) Glad Mark Webber won today. He deserved a win! It was a long time coming :)

Peterson 07-13-2009 12:57 AM

Have you read any of Barrichello's commments after the race? He needs a good slap lol.

Basically said the team MADE him lose the race. His future with Brawn is apparantly in doubt now....

Of course it pisses you off when you´re leading the race for a good while, and then you finish sixth.

Happy to see that Red Bull have been doing great lately. Makes the rest of the season much more interesting now.

kenobi_on_a_prayer 07-13-2009 09:59 AM

I know absolutely nothing about F1 or cars or motorsport, but I will say this:

MARK WEBBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU BEAUTY!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

That is all.

Irishshin 07-13-2009 09:40 PM

Yeah I read what Rubens said. Not cool but I can understand him being frustrated. There was an interview with Ross Brawn as well and he kinda said Rubens was right but brushed it off as well. I think Rubens will be ok for the rest of the season.

Stut 07-14-2009 07:56 AM

Hmm, according to Finnish press, that Alonso rumour might actually be true. Kimi will end his career after this season, and Alonso will take his place. According the news, Alonso has made a 5 year deal with Ferrari and Kimi gets 28M€ for season 2010 even though he doesn´t drive at all. And they´re going to confirm the news in Monza just like the earlier rumour said.

http://www.iltasanomat.fi/urheilu/uu...asp?id=1710325
(It´s in Finnish so most of you won´t understand a thing)

Irishshin 07-14-2009 09:48 PM

I saw that too. Its interesting. I think it also says that Kimi can't drive for another F1 team next year.

I don't know, I mean Alonso said in Germany that he isn't going to Ferrari that he hasn't even spoken to the team. Kimi says he is driving for Ferrari next year. Ferrari say he is drivng for them.

Guess we have to wait for Monza!

I guess they'll have contracts etc to keep them quiet until an offical announcement.

Lucky son of a bitch. Little bit more to the right and it would´ve been even more uglier. A week ago that Surtees kid died and now Massa had almost a similar thing.

Holy shit! Hadn't seen that pic of him yet, his helmet looks a mess! Hope he has a quick recovery.

Here's a vid of it all happening (only available in UK though...)

I wonder what Ferrari will do tomorrow, whether they'll only race Kimi or if they'll use a third driver. As far as I know they have Luca Badoer as a reserve driver, only other option is Michael Schumacher lol.

Kimi will be the only Ferrari driver tomorrow.

Suppose they'd only worry about racing a second driver if they were in the fight for the constructors championship.

Irishshin 07-25-2009 10:15 PM

This was so damn scary. He has had an operation and is now recovering. Doubt he will be back for Valencia with skull damage and brain concussion. Only Kimi will race tomorrow I guess.

According to AP he's still in "life threating condition" after the surgery,so there's no way he's driving tomorrow. He might not drive at all anymore. The man suffered a fractured skull, it's not a scrape you can put a band-aid on.

They're not allowed to bring in a new driver at this stage of the weekend. They could've changed drivers before the quali, but not any more. Kimi will be the only Ferrari on track tomorrow.

There's been messages to ignore Sky / Ap reports that he is a life threatening condition. He is after the op and stable and his latest brain scan is clear and signs are positive according to James Allen

Irishshin 07-25-2009 11:55 PM

Yup on Twitter and on planet F1 too
Woulda been lost without them today!

True, hadn't really been much of a fan of twitter, but i've seen how useful it can be now!

Well, I'd rather believe the official statement by the hospital. The surgeon who operated him was at the press conference. And he's also being kept in sleep. If he was fine, they wouldn't do that, would they?

We'll see. Hope he's alright.

Good news from Ferrari
Budapest, 26th July 2009 - This morning Felipe Massa underwent a CT scan, which had a positive outcome. The driver was awake for some time and is now resting in the intensive care unit of Budapest's AEK Hospital.

Apparantly he's gonna remain in an induced coma for a further 48 hours. Link

I really enjoyed that race, good to see sopmeone else win rather then the Brawns or Red Bulls, will keep the championship going for a while yet.

So glad to see Lewis Hamilton back at the front after having such a shite start to the season.

Irishshin 07-26-2009 05:54 PM

Yup it was different to see someone different.

Glad Kimi was second :D
Lets just hope he doesnt get a penalty!

liljovi93 07-26-2009 06:31 PM

Hope Massa is alright.

Made up that Hamilton won.

Peterson 07-26-2009 07:37 PM

Michal Schumacher's manager, Willy Webber has ruled out Schumacher returning to F1 while Massa is recovering.

Gutted, would have loved to see him race against Hamilton.

Peterson 07-26-2009 08:37 PM

Renault have been suspended from the race in Valencia.

http://www.planetf1.com/story/0,1895...454391,00.html

Irishshin 07-26-2009 09:02 PM

I have no idea what to think about Renault's suspension. Was so shocked to see that wheel bouncing along after everything has happened recently.
But I think banning them from Valencia sucks. I don't think they should be banned.

Glad Kimi hasn't got a penalty and keeps his second place.

Wonder who will get that second Ferrari seat. Would have like to see MS race again. I think the test drivers are old enough so dunno if they will get the seat. I suppose a decision won't be made until they know when Felipe will be back!

It's probably either Luca Badoer or Marc Gene. Both have GP experience and have the licenses. Getting anyone else could be a problem.

Yeah, the suspension is far too harsh, but I guess they're just taking the past weeks events into consideration. It's not like the pit crew meant to leave the wheel nut loose. BBC showed a replay of the pit stop and it looked like the lollipop went up too early, so Alonso drove away before the spinner was secured in place.

Peterson 07-27-2009 08:47 PM

Massa's eye was damaged in the crash on saturday, dunno how badly yet though.

http://www.planetf1.com/story/0,1895...456220,00.html

:(

Irishshin 07-27-2009 09:27 PM

They don't know that yet as he is unable to open his eye.

He is awake though :D

Guess I was reading old news then ;)

Glad he seems to be on the mend.

UKjovi 07-28-2009 12:51 PM

I cant see him ever driving again

Irishshin 07-28-2009 11:07 PM

Felipe is doing good :) Docs thing he could be out in 10 days! Excellent news.
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/77391

Also he has opened his eye and he can see and there looks to be no damage
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/77396

Possibly a bit early to be saying that ;)

He seems to be on the mend a lot quiker than people thought he would be.

Although, I doubt if we'll see him back this season.

Stut 07-29-2009 11:50 AM

First Honda, now BMW. They´ve had a shitty season so far, so I´m not surprised. I wonder if they´re going to take another new team for next year, besides those 3 already added last month, or whenever it was.

http://www.bmw-sauber-f1.com/en/inde...#/news/~337|0/
http://www.planetf1.com/story/0,1895...459257,00.html

Formula One has suffered another major blow with the news that BMW are pulling out of Formula One at the end of this season.

The announcement, made at the team's headquarters in Munich and on their website, means BMW are the second major manufacturer to pull out of the sport in the space of eight months following Honda's withdrawal in December.

Irishshin 07-29-2009 08:05 PM

Felipe is being moved out of intensive care :)

And I never thought I would see this happen......

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/77418

Schumacher is gonna replace Felipe until he is ready to return!!!!

My mate just txt to tell me about Schumacher! I always thought he retired too early and by coming back he's showing he still has passion for the sport!

Also, thats sad news about BMW, I know they weren't doing great this season, but they'll still be missed. I wonder if Heidfeld and Kubica will have drives next season or not....

Irishshin 08-11-2009 11:28 AM

Schumacher cancels his F1 comeback

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/77618

After his motorcycle accident in Feb, his neck isn't strong enough for F1

I am so disappointed :(
Was really looking forward to see MS compete again.
