"Piquet's claims have, however, been denied by both Briatore and Symonds in documents that are believed to have been submitted with the FIA. Although they confirm that the meeting between the three of them took place, both suggest that it was Piquet's own suggestion to cause an accident."

Even Piquet wouldn't have been that stupid. I hope this finally fries Briatore.

Great race on Sunday although you got to feel sorry for Lewis. Hoping that Jenson can keep his lead.Canada should be good next year :)

Irishshin 09-15-2009 09:15 PM

FIA have said they will give Pat Symonds immunity if he tells all
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/78646

Piquet has been given immunity.
Looks like someone is out to get Flavio!!

And Lotus have been given the 13th place on the grid. BMW Sauber has a new buyer and has been given 14th place on the gird if the other teams agree to it.

Tis all happening today!

Just heard this on the radio
I gotta say I am shocked that Renault are admitting guilt
I do hope nothing happens them though, esp as Flavio & Pat are gone now.

Wonder whats gonna happen with Alonso though!

Personally I hope he gets ****ed. Never liked the little cunt.

Here is a transcript of the radio conversation around the time of the Piquet crash in Singapore: http://www.planetf1.com/story/0,1895...562506,00.html

:D

I feel the same way. I don't like Schumi either. But I gotta hand to them, they both know how to drive a car.

I like Alonso but I don't want him in a Ferrari next year.

And Qadbak Investments company bought BMW

He's bound to have known something, there is no way in hell he is clueless.

Wasn't it Alonso that started the whole 'spygate' situation with McLaren a couple of years ago? He always seems to be 'around' when something happens in F1.

Peterson 09-20-2009 02:27 PM

Alonso has been summoned to the hearing in Paris tomorrow:

http://www.planetf1.com/story/0,1895...571504,00.html

Also, apaprantly Kimi has a deal to go back to McLaren if Ferrari get rid of him:

http://www.planetf1.com/story/0,1895...571594,00.html

Irishshin 09-20-2009 03:23 PM

I thought the FIA said they knew Alonso had nothing to do with it.
Tomorrow will be an interesting day.

I don't think there is any other team really Kimi could go to. Brawn have Jenson & Rubens but rumours are Rosberg is going there. I am still hoping he is staying at Ferrari though.

Would certainly be funny if Ferrari let Kimi go and Alonso gets banned ;)

Wonder what they'd do there!

Irishshin 09-20-2009 08:05 PM

Would be funny :P

But they have Fisi & Massa still
Plus kinda Schumacher
As Luca said they do seem to have a football bench of drivers for 2010!

They would phone me up :)

Irishshin 09-21-2009 08:14 PM

Well Renault basically got off scot free.

Two year suspended ban and pay all costs
Flavio lifetime ban
Symonds 5 year band
Piquet had immunity anyway.
Alonso innocent

I didn't want Renault to be banned.
But they should have got a fine and be thrown out of last years and this years constructors championships.

They got nothing!!!!!! It was just freakin lucky no one was killed in the fake accident.

Irishshin 09-21-2009 08:15 PM

Good news though the calander for next year has been announced.
Canada is in there :D
And a new GP for Korea.
And Brazil back at the end where I likes it :p
Still big breaks in the middle though.

14/3 Bahrain
28/3 Australia
04/4 Malaysia
18/4 China
09/5 Spain
23/5 Monaco
30/5 Turkey
13/6 Canada*
27/6 Europe (Valencia)
11/7 Great Britain
25/7 Germany
01/8 Hungary
29/8 Belgium
12/9 Italy
26/9 Singapore
03/10 Japan
17/10 Korea
31/10 Abu Dhabi
14/11 Brazil

Peterson 09-22-2009 12:43 AM

I'm really pissed off that Renault got off so lightly, like oyu said, they should have at least been kicked out of the 2008/2009 constructors championships. But to get away without even getting a fine is ridiculous.

Glad Flavio got a lifetime ban though, always thought he was an arsehole and a bully.

And I am still not conviced that Alonso knew nothing.

I wonder if Piquet will ever drive in F1 again, hope he gets the chance to. He did what he had to do to keep his job. Flavio obviously had him shitting himself.

UKjovi 09-22-2009 09:23 AM

If you were in charge of a F1 team would you take on Piquet?

Irishshin 09-22-2009 10:51 AM

See the thing is, he is rather good looking. :D
So if I was in charge of a team I might give him a chance.
Plus the fact he does anything you ask of him is a good thing.

Bad thing though would be daddy Piquet!

Yeah but if you were basing it on looks you'd go for Massa :p

Irishshin 09-22-2009 08:35 PM

Hehe so true, so true :p

Peterson 09-22-2009 09:18 PM

I'd certainly give him a chance as I don't feel that he had a proper chance driving for Flavio.

There would probably be some trust issues, but he's a decent enough driver IMO.

Not so sure on his driving but trust would be a big issue

I don't think we've seen his full potential, he was always gonna be over-shadowed by Alonso and wasn't it common knowledge that Alonso always had a better car then him? (newer parts etc)

If he had been given a fair shot, he would probably have performed better. Alonso probably didn't want to risk being shown up by his team mate like he was in his year at McLaren.

Irishshin 09-23-2009 09:21 PM

Am so sick of Ferrari.
They need to make a decision and tell me!!! (and everyone else)

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/78805

Really don't like Luca M

I guess they're waiting as long as possible to see how Massa gets on before they decide.

Peterson 09-23-2009 11:12 PM

Here is a recording of the whole Renault hearing if anyone is interested in having a listen. It's 76 mins long though!!

Irishshin 09-24-2009 08:08 PM
