Try looking under F :)
Looking forward to tomorrows race :)

Irishshin 09-26-2009 04:08 PM

Looking forward to Qualy :D
They just need to be quiet about Renault now for a while and concentrate on the night race!!!!!!!!

Yvonne 09-27-2009 06:20 PM

Yeah Jenson! Nice little turn around of the weekend :)

An excellent result for Jenson, quite a boring race though :(

I wonder just how close the championship is gonna be now, 15 points in it, Jenson just needs to score points no matter where Rubens finishes.

Irishshin 09-27-2009 09:28 PM

So boring. It was just a hamilton train.
I didn't think any race was worse than Valencia...so wrong.

ticos_stick 09-27-2009 11:02 PM

Today's race was a good example of the season so far. Apart from a few races it's been an uneventful, boring, predictable fare.

I can't see next season picking up with the new rules.

UKjovi 09-28-2009 12:48 PM

The track is far to narrow, they need to get rid of!!

Stut 09-30-2009 06:08 PM

It´s official now. Alonso in, Räikkönen out.

http://www.formula1.com/news/headlin...9/9/10015.html

Ferrari finally confirmed on Wednesday that Fernando Alonso will race for the team next season, replacing Kimi Raikkonen as Felipe Massa’s team mate. Giancarlo Fischella will continue in the role of reserve driver.

FINALLY!!!

lol, just heard it on the radio while driving home. Also mentioned that Kimi is returning to McLaren, althpough no confirmayion as yet.

And apparantly Barichello and Rosberg will be switching seats next season: http://www.planetf1.com/story/0,1895...595326,00.html

Irishshin 09-30-2009 08:06 PM

McLaren have said they haven't made any decisions yet.
Looks like Kimi has no drive yet anyway.

So disappointed by this news.
So much for the Ferrari family.

And what makes it worse Alonso had not expected to move to Ferrari until 2011!!!!!

Peterson 10-01-2009 12:19 AM

Read a few reports saying McLaren will announce Kimi for 2010 befoe the Japanese GP.

Just need to wait and see!

that doesnt leave long

UKjovi 10-04-2009 12:42 PM

Good race today, thought Button did well considering how his car was handling. Good for Lewis as well.

Irishshin 10-04-2009 07:32 PM

Come on Rubenhio :D
I still think he can do it!!

Kimi did well today despite having a crap car :D

gotta admit the race was kinda boring :(

Felipe is testing a 07 car this week too

What? One of the best races all season. All the time someone was battling for positions and there were a few nice moves from Kovalainen, like the Fisichella pass or how he forced Sutil to spin. We need more tracks like this.

Ice

Irishshin 10-04-2009 11:30 PM

Suzuka is a fantastic track
But today's race wasn't. It was no way as bad as Singapore. Maybe I was expecting more after Singapore.

UKjovi 10-05-2009 09:13 AM

I thought it was a good race, a hell of a lot better than the last one

Peterson 10-07-2009 07:03 PM

Kubica has signed to drive for Renault next season.

and

Massa aint ruling out a return in Abu Dhabi ;)

Irishshin 10-07-2009 10:12 PM

They finally announced it lol :)
Hope Kubica does good in Renault.

UKjovi 10-09-2009 09:26 AM

I read somewhere that Massa will wave the chequered flag at Brazil :)

Irishshin 10-09-2009 08:05 PM

Yup he will :D

Hopefully it will for Rubens winning

Peterson 10-09-2009 09:37 PM

Been thinking a lot about the 2 Brawn GP drivers and the championship recently....

and to be honest, I don't really think either of them are worthy of the drivers title (not for this season anyway)

Both made a great start to the season, but once the other teams caught up with them, they aint been so great.

Button won 6 out of the first 7 races, since then he seems to have been just coasting round picking up whatever points he can instead of fighting for more and getting the championship done and dusted. Just going a little bit too cautious for my liking.

Then theres Rubens....

When he qualifies/ finishes ahead of Button, he's great, such a happy guy, nothing can wipe the smile off his face. But when he's behind Button he starts spouting nonsense like 'nothing goes right in my side of the garage', either that or he badmouths the team. He needs to let his days as Schumacher's number 2 go and start living in the present instead of the past.

After that i'm still hoping Button wins it so that I can collect my winnings from William Hill ;)

Irishshin 10-10-2009 12:58 AM

I dont think Button deserves it at the moment. At the start he was fantastic but since then nothing.

I do think Rubens deserves it more. He has fought so hard and has only once bad mouthed the team. And he has been in this game so long now :D

If either of them wins will be happy
But would prefr Rubens to get it.

I can actually see Vettel sneaking in and taking it....

You think Rubens is off to Williams for 2010?

Yvonne 10-16-2009 12:11 AM

Come on Jenson!

Irishshin 10-16-2009 12:31 AM

I think it all depends on if he wins the championship or not.
I wouldn't mind seeing him at Williams

I want him to win the champsionship so badly. It is his last chance. I don't see Williams or Brawn having a good enough car next season. Not one to win the championship anyways. I think it will be McClaren & Ferrari again.

Come on Rubens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thoink next years Brawn could be a bit 50/50. Only reason they were so good at the start of this season was because Honda started the development of the car early on in the '08 season. They won't have that advantage in 2010.

Hopefully the Mercedes engines will help make them competetive next year though!

UKjovi 10-16-2009 12:20 PM

i would have thought after this year Brawn will have a lot more backing and ill be able to afford to do more developing so don't under estimate them.

Irishshin 10-16-2009 07:59 PM

I won't :D
I think they will still be good next year
I just think Ferrari will be better :)

Peterson 10-17-2009 05:58 PM

Final practice in Brazil has been delayed because of a 'tropical storm'.

If the weather keeps up like this, it'll be one hell of a race tomorrow! I love wet races lol.

http://www.planetf1.com/story/0,1895...633572,00.html

Irishshin 10-17-2009 07:30 PM

Its raining still
Come on for a wet race tomorrow :D

Irishshin 10-17-2009 10:49 PM

Best Qualifying session this year!
Could have done without all that waiting.

I hope so much Rubens wins tomorrow.

And Kimi putting that stupid car in 5th. Very impressive!

UKjovi 10-18-2009 12:45 PM

Button has got to perform a miracle today

Irishshin 10-18-2009 01:45 PM

Rubens can do it today
He just has to get away from Mark Webber as he has more fuel.

Come on Rubens!!!!

Irishshin 10-19-2009 01:32 AM

Button had a fantastic race today. Glad he did, cos if he had won with a crappy race I don't think he would have deserved it. But he fought hard today.
Absolutley gutted for Rubens, I wanted him to win so badly, he deserved it.
Webber's second win totally overshadowed though.

Thought Kimi did well to finish in 6th, could have had a podium had he not had to change his front wing.

Best race of the season!

SmirkSteve 10-19-2009 01:09 PM

I've not been impressed with Jenson all season - he started off the season with a car that was far superior to anyone else's thanks to Honda pumping a ton of money and an extra 6 months of development, and he did well. He then started to fade as the other cars caught up, to the point where he was very average. Before the race yesterday I so wanted Rubens to win and then take the championship from Jenson in Abu Dhabi. As unlucky as Rubens was, Jenson drove like a real champion yesterday and I wish he'd done this more throughout the season - his cushion from the first 7 races made him complacent and boring.

Great race from Lewis too, to come from 17th to take the 3rd podium spot was fantastic. There's a guy who never lets up for a minute and has raced to win in every race, no matter how realistic that might be.

Great to see Felipe out and about and I look forward to seeing him back in a F1 car (a current one that is, not the 2007 car he drove a few days ago) - next season has the potential to be absolute dynamite, as long as the FIA don't screw around with the rules and regulations so much.

Peterson 10-19-2009 11:47 PM

What a belter of a race!!!

I've been doubting Jenson's ability a lot recently due to his lacklustre and cautious approach, but he finally grew a set of balls and showed us he can race! Some great overtaking done by him, especially the pass on Grosjean.

Hard lines to Rubens, along with Vettel fought well to put the pressure on Button. Almost paid off, but there's almost next year.

Thats the second year in a row that the title has been won by a british driver, in brazil, finishing fifth in car number 22 ;) Some useless facts for y'all ;)

Looking forward to Abu Dhabi now!!!

Irishshin 10-21-2009 12:25 AM

Am already dreading the Winter without F1, no testing or nothing!!! not cool

I know we still have Abu Dhabi but with the championship won, its not that exciting!
And not sure about all the sand from the desert!
So glad Brazil is back as the last race for next season!

SmirkSteve 10-22-2009 11:58 AM

There's no doubt that a lot of the magic is gone from the Abu Dhabi race, BUT, we still have a new racetrack to see, with a possible death trap of a pit lane exit tunnel. We also have 2nd place to settle between Barrichello and Vettel, 5th place between Hamilton and Raikkonen (probable team mates next year) and 3rd in the constructors championship between McLaren and Ferrari. That'll do me thanks! Though I do agree a whole winter without F1 will be painful.

Irishshin 10-22-2009 11:06 PM

Forgot about that pit lane exit! Should be fun to watch :D
Really not sure about all that dust though, could be bad!

Am hoping Kimi wont go to McClaren!

This Winter is gonna be bad!! lol
