Your thoughts on captain crash?
 

A friend asked me tonight and I couldn't really come up with an answer.

I've read the lyrics and I think it's simply about a misfit couple who are so in love with each other that they don't care about what anyone else thinks.

Or maybe it's about a trainwreck of a relationship hence the couples at the end (though to be fair i don't know the background to all of them)

What say you?

It's about no one in particular and could be about anyone, either 2 friends or 2 lovers who just feel great about their relationship and don't care about what anyone else will think or say about them. This was the explanation Jon gave back in 2000.

Or it could be an excuse for Jon to do that crap "I think I seem him, there *points*" everywhere they play it, and to tire the arms of everyone in the crowd so that they don't throw things.

To me it is just one of worst bon jovi song, ever.

I love it, I've always loved it, and I will always continue to love it (though it is played live too much)
I've always viewed it as about either a couple, or friends, who seem really weird and isolated from the outside world, but it doesn't matter as long as they have each other. I think the string of celebrity couple at the end of the song plays into this.

How is it that exactly?
