Living In Sin videoclip

Yesterday was the first time I watched the videoclip of Living In Sin from the Crossoroad VHS and found out that it is different than the one I knew for ages.

Six or more years ago, I fell in love with a girl while listening to that song, more specifically, watching this videoclip. We actually weren't living in sin - nobody cared about us and it ended after the summer holiday. Anyway, this videoclip evokes me beautiful, maybe nostalgic memories of that summer and I always watch it with my breath held. We used to watch the New Jersey Videos tape which I accidentally bought in a second hand store.

And now, six years later, I realize that there is a different version of it. It containes more sexual scenes. I can't say it's better, I really love the softer version because of my memories but this one looks as the original to me, when the softer one is something like a MTV cut or whatever.

I don't understand why on the original Jersey VHS is the softer version and five years after that the more obscene version appears on a different videotape. I don't get it if the original version was firstly banned and later allowed..
Is there anyone who knows the story behind it?

This has been discussed before. Something about sex and religion. Use search. Times change. What was considered bad in 1989, might not be so bad after all few years later. I havenīt watched those videos in ages, so donīt remember what was the difference between those clips. BTW, isnīt Always clip the censored one on Cross Road VHS? I donīt think it had the scene where Jack burns that loft down. Or am I remembering wrong?

I've never noticed the difference between the New Jersey and Cross Road versions of the Living In Sin video. Thought they were both the uncensored versions.

The version of Always on Cross Road is the uncensored version.

I hate that version of the Always video, where the flat explodes for what appears to be no reason at all
