30 mln - JBJ solo albums

I was making news about Jon for Poland official Bon Jovi site and I read something like this.

"With his band and as a solo artist, Bon Jovi has sold more than 150 million albums worldwide."

It's looks like Band sold 120 mln and Jon sold 30 mln solo albums.

So JBJ albums are NOT include into 120 mln.

If was here similar topic. Delete it.

I read what you wrote in another topic (about this) but this info seems to be real for me. I think it's much real that their sold 120 mln without Jon's solo records.

Jon with 30 million...sure:rolleyes:

Err, if the number sold by the band as a whole is 150 million and this includes Jon's solo albums then surely it also includes Richie and Dave's respective albums too - meaning that the sales of Blaze of Glory, Stranger In This Town, On A Full Moon, Destination Anywhere, Undiscovered Soul and Lunar Eclipse have sold a total of 30 million. Even if we assume that Jon's albums did better, they probably didn't sell more than 5-10 million each.

Yes. You're right I forgot about another members of the band ;]

Few years ago I read interview Jon which was told that Jon's solo was sold in 3mln and DA in about 9 mln copies (but I don't know if they say about first year of selling or about sales after realisig both cd until day when interview was written. It was porbably in 2002 if I remember,

And here we go again...

Nowhere near 150 millions. First of all, record companies always exaggerate things. You can't really trust in anything they say about sold albums. Everything (DA, BOG, US, SITT...), for sure, is included in 120 million.

And 9mil for DA...hahaa...it sold under 300,000 copies in US, that is a fact.
I don't know about the music club sales, but Young Guns sold under 1,5mil (2xP RIAA) through soundscan and wasn´t that popular outside US...

But was massively popular in Europe. It sold in 1.5 Million in Germany ALONE only in 1998. Must have done pretty well in the UK too. Queen of New Orleans was even voted one of the 15 best songs of the year, JBJ got an MTV Europe award for best male, etc. 9 Million may be a bit exaggerated, but I am sure it sold more than HAND or BOUNCE.

Jon as a solo arist sold over 10 million records worldwide.

As a band, it was 120 millions before the release of Lost Highway.
