The Bonjovi Experience & Jon

Has anybody else see 'The Bonjovi Experince'
I thought it was great when Jon got on stage and sang with them, see the video at www.thebonjoviexperience.com

Yes, and they suck.

No undeserved bias there as I actually like 'Non Jovi' and a few of the international acts like 'Bad Medicine' from Aus and 'Slippery When Wet' from the USA but any band who blatantly prioritises "look-alike" over "sound-alike" doesn't understand what recreating the music is all about.

Plus their groupies are the biggest bunch of foul-mouthed people a-going.

I also failed to understand why of all coverbands they were invited to the Bon Jovi thing. Maybe they were the cheapest?

This Jon-double looks very strange :-P
I agree with RS8MB0R8, these guys are impressive And watch out for the girls they have in the audience (at least in the beginning) haha :-)

I wonder too Seb and that vid epitomises why it's just so bizarre.

RockThunder - Slippery When Wet are an awesome tribute band. They sound f*cking phenomenal and still manage to incorporate the look. Great band and great sound!

This Jovi experience guy has a complete different voice and his hair looks like a wig, sorry
Plus the guitar guy plays the Jersey Star on nearly every era's track -> FAIL

really dont think anyone has ever managed to mimic Jons voice well. Ive never been impressed with the cover bands, people on talents shows etc.

Jon is the hardest part by far for bands to emulate because people know his voice better than the voices of the other instruments. However, that doesn't mean that you shouldn't get in somebody who at the very least does a half-decent job rather than merely looks like Jon if they put on a pair of sunglasses.

All of the tribute acts I mentioned above have good frontmen and Kadis, another tribute band I've seen videos of, also have a good lead vocalist.

Edit: Here's a couple of videos of Kadis

Hey Gav,

On that note, are "Non Jovi" even still going?

I hate all these talent shows. It annoys me when they cover a song and do this extreme emo mimic :grab:
