MEMPHIS is the story of Huey Calhoun, a white radio DJ whose love of music transcends racial lines and airwaves. But when Huey falls for a black singer he is helping to promote, whether the world is ready for their music, and their love, is put to the test. A thrilling theatrical event that combines traditional Broadway splendor with the roots of rock, MEMPHIS is brought to life with a score by David Bryan and a story by Joe DiPietro, who first collaborated on the award-winning Off-Broadway hit The Toxic Avenger. Direction is by Christopher Ashley (Xanadu) and choreography is by Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys).
