biggest selling artists (wiki)

for some reason on wiki it says bon jovi (100 million) instead of at least 120 as a band. can anyone explain this nonsense because others are listed more accurately.

They are included in the between 100mill and 199mill section which is accurate, and the estimate is just what it is - an estimate.

And they're in very good company on that list, we should be proud.

If it bothers you, edit the wiki page yourself, anyone can update the info.

It's Wikipedia, edit it if it means that much to you.

Wikipedia is absoutely useless for factual information. Hell, why not just put their sales at 750 million so they can be the same as Michael Jackson?

Which brings me to another point - How the hell did Michael Jackson sell 750 million albums? Wiki (This sounds real relibale) lists Thriller's Sales anywhere between 47-109 million. How the hell can it be that much of a discrepency?

Bad has sold 30 million.
Dangerous sold 32 million.
History sold 20 million (but because it's a double record, I'm sure they count it as 40).
Invincible sold 10 million.
Off The Wall has sold 20 million.

So, even if we go on the high side of Thriller and 40 million for History, that's still just 241 million. That's amazing indeed, but a far cry from 750 million.

My assumption is, they're counting Jackson 5 and singles. If that's the case, then any band post 80's, will never have the chance to get remotely close to those numbers.

I remember once, when I was like 14, someone told me you can edit anything you like into Wiki.

Obviously, this made me think I could write whatever I want and I could ultimatley control the Universe with this power.

Unfortunatly my route to Universe controlling came to a halt after I said Keira Knightley had died.

A colleague was looking up wiki once and the first line went something like:

The ****ing Act of the Union 1707 was...

Pretty strange that something like that wasn't caught right away.
