Lucky - Bounce outtake
You probably have heard this all before, and I am a bit slow...
I recently first heard Train's Drops of jupiter, and also bought the crossroads deluxe edition which had Lucky on it. They are practically the same song! Who heard who first? lol. |
From memory Drops of Jupiter came out in 2000/01 and Lucky was released after that, though it could have been written earlier for all I know.
Though TBH I've never made the connection between the songs. |

Jon said that many song have some similar parts to others so that's the reason why some great songs are not on CD (like Another Reason To Believe). Some bands keep their similar songs and show them as B-sides, demos ecc and some make from them singles like Coldplay and others. |
Bonjovi100, Im in full agreement about the chorus, its just the verses, melody chord changes/rhythm breaks that struck very similar.
It was probably silly of me to imply the whole song was similar. Probably when writing popular music its something you can't avoid, writing similar tunes. |
I've never noticed any similarity ...
|
I've always liked Lucky since I first heard it on the Target EP. I've never really heard a major similarity to Drops of Jupiter though.
|
The similarity, to me anyways, is just the verses. The keyboard especially. I don't care for this song at all, and I wish I knew why.
