Oh, I hope there is no Who Says clone on this album either. They did that already on Lost Highway with I Love This Town. And they both suck donkey balls.

I really think its a demo though. The song builds up and Jon shouts "guitar" but theres no solo at all. I think the final version will have a solo.

I think it's the radio edit of the single. They tend to cut parts of the song for that purpose. And yeah, i think the solo will be better on the record. I also think it might have more of an outro.

i just hope they dont change the end. I like the fact the song ends rather than just fades out.

just add a finger shredding solo and goes from a very very goood song to a great song.

After I heard it more often now and read some comparisons I would say it is better than the LH singles. But it really lacks a solo.
But it's not nearly in the class of Have A Nice Day (single) - which is already on a low level for the standard. I always have the feeling the post 2000 songs COULD be amazing if there would be more work on it. The overpolishing steals the atmosphere and they always sound like finished pre-production ideas to me (with some exceptions).

Well here is my verdict. I have given it 5 or so listens now and I must say I do like it. I liked it the first time but it is a song that grows on you.

Comparisons between IML and HAND and so forth - I don't hear them. And to be honest I'm much more excited about this song than I have been for any other post 2000 singles. Solo isn't very good but hey I'm sure it will still be a fun song live.

As for links to the Jonas Bros or whatever they are called, grow up. I don't even listen to them so I wouldn't know if there was a link! Be ashamed that you do IMO.

As for the rest of the album, I think there is still hope. We tend not to get very good singles anyway so I'm sure there will be something on the album for everyone. Unless of course you don't like pop/rock... Which Bon Jovi have always been may I say.

I love you! =)

That sounds more normal from you LOL (and I agree).

There's no raw rock sound to it.

This is indeed one of the problems. It needs to sound edgier and it needs some proper guitar. I like the idea - I like the words - most of them anyway. I could do without all the yeahs in the chorus. It's the execution that's the problem.

I agree. I think the verses are actually decent lyrics it's everything from the production, the lack of guitar, and the horrible chorus that made me overlook the quality of the lyrics to the verses.

Off topic, but I quite like the artwork to the We Weren't Born to Follow single.

However, if the artwork theme for the album is going to be "iconic on-stage poses", I'm slightly concerned that The Circle will be Jon's arse...
