You know James, again don't take this the wrong way but you can be quite repetitive in some of your posting and no one really says a word about it.

We are talking about the single so it belongs here and I am trying to understand this poster's ignorant views. Plus, I'm sleep deprived, hungover and been rubbed the wrong way. Not to mention being asked multiple times by this user for the single. Is that before or after I've been called immature?

Why shouldn't I expect better of my favorite band? A band that has shown they are capable of more than this effortless stuff? At the end of the day, I can live with the lyrics. They are kind of in vein of the live my life theme but the music is just horrendous and so are the yeah, yeah, yeahs. It's very much like Nickelback, Miley Cyrus, Kelly Clarkson, etc. Two of these artists have been produced by John Shanks. They can be mainstream without releasing this silly stuff...they just have to put more effort in then that and put a little more thought into it than a few months.

Funny how Jovi's ability to write crap songs gets everyones back up.

I wouldn't call it frustration. Disappointment is warranted by people who've spent money, time, etc. on a band that doesn't put the same kind of effort in for it's fans. Isn't it?

Frustration is newbie's who try to tell you how you shouldn't listen to Bon Jovi anymore if you don't like their mainstream pop. It's just ridiculous.

I like the song, but it is nothing special. Also I don´t think it will be nearly successful as It`s my life or HAND.

Ok, to those who keep saying this is a great BJ song and maybe people who can't enjoy it should not listen to BJ and BJ is the wrong band for them etc.

You just don't get it, do you? No one was expecting greatly distorted guitars and fast drums ala Motley Crue, Metallica. If we wanted those kind of songs there are other bands to listen to and BJ is not one of them. All this is about is that the band don't try anymore. They just keep doing the same old basic thing over and over.

Let's make a smal comparison between We weren't born to follow and Born to be my baby, because people say they sound alike. Here's the thing: BTBMY is a great song. It might have an ordinary lyrics, but the music is what it's all about. It has a keyboard riff at the begining, then comes the guitar riff. The whole verse is in the key of F#m, and then, in the pre chorus, there comes the modulation and the songs changesto the key of Am. And then there's a guitar solo that's just great. You see, that's what make BTBMY a great song. Now We weren't born to follow. None of the things mentioned about BTBMY are there. Would it kill the band to add a guitar to those empty verses? Would it be too hard to use some other chord sequences and keys? Is it really THAT hard for richie ro play something other than the root notes of the chords for the solo?

This is the problem with the band. They just don't bother anymore. They make music in the simplest form possible album after album. They are not creative anymore.

The only 'heavier' sounding songs i know are those everyone hates cause they do call Everyday or Undivided or Hook me up --> That in my opionion was a little heavier but doesn't suit Bon Jovi very well.

I guess BJ is at their best when playing songs like Prayer, IML, Wanted, Blaze, LH, Sleep When I'm dead. Now those aren't heavy songs, but they are among the best Bon Jovi stuff.

I'm always affraid when i hear someone say that bon jovi's gonna come out with big guitars and riffs? They don't have riff songs.
